A Beyonder once said — we are guardians, but also a bunch of miserable wretches that are constantly fighting against threats and madness.
— we are heroes, who, as much as the enemies, are fighting against the corruption within ourselves.
Beyonder is a power that gives people hopes to guard against devils that couldn't be seen through naked eyes — but at the same time, it corrupts the consumer until one loses themselves and becomes of what they called a devil.

1365, November 8th,
Under a crimson moon, the scarlet radiant were reflecting into a bedroom of a high-end mansion,
A quiet breeze blew a young green leaf into the wide opened window. Silently, the leaf floated its way onto a luxurious bed in the middle to the right corner of the room.
The extravagant wooden bed was made of the most expensive kind of wood that are only limited in the neighboring Intis capital. Its top was made out of gold. Glittery gold plates were emitting its value on the top of the bed.
As soon as the leaf fell on the soft bedsheet, a small grasshopper hopped out of the green frond. Its glowing pair of pupils were gazing at the red-haired youth who was deep asleep on the bed.
Not even a second later did the grasshopper's eyes turn red as it let out a quiet shriek. With its sharp instinct, it immediately flew away from the man, as though it could feel the following danger of this person who was suddenly covered with a dominant gray fog.
Amidst the increased of the blurry gray fog, a transparent tentacle squirmed out silently and slowly until it reached the flying grasshopper and grabbed the insect's little life. As if the unknown creature sensed no more danger, its long worm-like tentacle fused itself back into the gray fog, resuming its rest.
Following that, everything in the room turned back to normal. There was no more grasshoppers nor, was there any mysterious gray fog and the unknown tentacle. Everything seemed to die down quietly, that no one would have guessed that something bizarre had just happened.
At that moment, the person who was in the center of this mysterious phenomenon failed to notice anything abnormal as he woke up from his sleep like he usually does.
Adjusted his posture, the red-haired flipped over the thick blanket. He slowly got up from the bed and had his legs on the luxurious red carpet.
Beat, beat.
All of sudden, his heart started to beat, so strangely loud that it echoed in his ears. It was unknown how much time had passed, but during the moment of subconsciously counting his heartbeat, two drops of tears fell through the corner of his eyes.
The youth was crying, silently.
In fact, if it wasn't for the tears that coldly wet his face, he wouldn't even realize that he was crying.
He didn't feel anything. He wasn't upset nor saddened by something, but the more he tried to recall what made him this way, the more transparent teardrops soaked the grayish white sheet.
Tick, Tock, Tick Tock..
The gold-embedded clock on the opposite wall ticked one second at a time until it eventually paused its hand at III.
It was 3am in the morning.
At that time, the transparent water that unknowingly soaked the bed was long dried. The red-haired youth was also able to calm himself down.
Second turned to seconds, minute turned to minutes, he finally grasped the reason why he seemingly acted out of habit.
It was a dream— no, perhaps it was a reality; a reality of his other life on the other side of the universe.
