Chapter 2

Sasuke had already finished getting ready to go out to the village. While he did, he never caught a glimpse of Kairi anywhere. He did not know where she went.

"You done already ?"

Suddenly, he heard her voice as she came out from somewhere. Her attire changed into a off-shoulder, summer dress that looked innocent on her. Her fingers were skillfully putting her hair into a braid on her right shoulder, while she rushing through her home.

She seemed busy making sure things were all organized and safe.

"I guess men really don't need a long time to get ready. I saw you reading something ten minutes ago." He perked his eyebrows up.

"You saw me ? I didn't see you."

"I know my way around my house. I could watch you all day and you won't notice."

He smiled silently at her cocky words with a cocky smile. She looked so proud of it he did not want to say anything.

From head to toe, she decorated herself suitable for such a beauty. She did not have a problem taking care of her hair unlike kunoichi. Her dress, though, he never saw anyone wear a dress like that, exposing a lot of her shoulders. She paired her bright dress with a brown flat shoes.

"I hope you still don't know how the outside looks like, or else it will ruin the fun." Kairi gave him an eye, before she  gave him a basket full of clothes abruptly. He was forcefully being task to hold it, but he did not complaint.

"No. I haven't."

"Great ! You'll be very surprised !"

Finally, he saw a crack of sunshine after a day and he was greeted with an even surprising sight.

The place was surrounded with flowers, and he caught the look on the front door as well, covered with veins. This place as if was untouched by civilizations and had been completely organized by Kairi alone.

"It's beautiful, right ? I sometimes collected them and sell them just for the fun of it."

"You grow them ?"

"Hmm, I tend to them from time to time, but for some reason, it spreads on its own creating this flower field and even covered my home." Sasuke was quite astounded hearing that. How can a field grew on its own and even acting as a shield to her home ? It's unbelievable.

There was a barely visible trail created along the flower field as a meant to move easily. He noticed one of the flower was painted red, like the color of blood.

"How did you bring me to your home ?" Sasuke asked.

"I carried you on my back. Unfortunately, some flowers got tainted by your blood so I had to pluck them off and threw them away." She told him.

"There are some that you missed."

Kairi followed where Sasuke pointed, and she had a horror look.

"Did I really missed one ?" She exclaimed and went where was pointed. She crouched down and plucked some that tainted to death.

"I really didn't want to do this." She cooed silently.

He followed her as she made her way to a certain place. There, he saw many flowers thrown, and also some cloth he remembered seeing before he fell unconscious.

It was quite blurry, but if he remembers well...

She was taking a bath. For some reason, her shock looking face, even her body that covered with sticky cloth, vividly displayed in his mind. At that moment, he thought it was some kind of angel coming down to help him.
