Even after Akaashi relentlessly trying to convince her to not go, Kairi was still adamant to go. She had finished packing up her things to stay at Konohagakure for a few months. The pub sponsored a ticket to go to Land of Fire by boat. They also had prepared a place for her to stay there, which was convenient. She did not have to use much of her savings.
Akaashi wanted to tag along, but he himself knew he had a lot of work to do as a ninja. Ayumi also cannot leave Land of Water since she had siblings to take care of.
Kairi was alone in this journey since according to Mr. Lin, her value was equivalent to ten girls he was planning to send. He did not know what so special about her to be treated to that extent in the industry.
It was a two days trip that if she knew it would be this long, she would not sign up for it. Not only she had to deal with the men that shamelessly checking her out, but also their flirting that she grew tired of. On the carriage ride, she finally had some peace and quiet.
Arriving at the Konohagakure gate, she took her stuff with her over her shoulder. It was not much, she was planning to buy extra clothing here.
She was wearing a dark purple off-shoulder top and a shorts where her top being tucked in. Her hair was let loose, pulling one side to the back with a black pin, exposing her right temple. She adorned her feet with black heels with average height.
As she walked through the gate, two guards approached her. They were smiling sheepishly, though still looked like they would interrogate her.
"Miss, I don't really recognize you. Are you not a Konoha citizen ?"
She crooked her brows, feigning offended.
"I went out one time and you already don't recognize me ? If I stayed in the village forever, we would never know each other." I told them, resting one of my hand onto my waist with a sad smile. They looked troubled instantly with a nervous and apologetic smiles.
"I'm sorry, it seems that we might forget about you. How dare we forget such a beautiful lady." One of them said, and they continued to smile sheepishly, their faces were red.
Kairi scoffed with a smile, not believing them for falling for it. She then fished her passport and identification card out, and they took it from her.
"I'm a Land of Water citizen, gentlemen. How are you so easy falling for such a lousy trick ?" She told them, and their faces turned red, this time in embarrassment. She took the cards back, walking a bit closer to them with a smile.
"I don't blame you."
She winked at them before she walked away, entering the village.
She looked around, sensing the place expressing so much of the warm breeze, like how the name goes. For her village, it was cool and calm, compared to Konoha, the people here looked more livelier. It looked like it did not rain for a few days now. She instantly felt hot here. She was not used to such a hot weather.
Her home was surrounded by flowers and greeneries, and most of the time covered from the sun, so it was cool the entire day. Now she was exposed directly to the sun, she craved for cool drinks.
She placed her stuff on another chair, sitting on another. She decided to take a break in a restaurant before heading to her place.
"Hello. What would you like the drink ?"
Kairi turned to look at the waitress, and she instantly looked surprised and blushes. She raised a brow with a smile.
"Do you have any suggestion for a hot day ?" She smiled, resting her chin on her hand. The girl smiled sheepishly.
