'I, I don't know what's happening Taylor' She said finally, through a sob.

The older girl was immediately up and pulling Karlie into a hug. 'Whatever it is it will be o... oh' Taylor stopped abruptly, staring down at her girlfriends white shirt that had risen up.

What was it now? Could this day get anymore confusing.

'Um, what is this?' Taylor said, pulling up the top.

Shit. Her mushroom tattoo. She had gotten it last month with the girls. A little goodbye to her modelling days. She definitely didn't have it in 2015. When her career was just taking off.

'Is that a mushroom with a, um, computer on your back?' She asked.

Karlie quickly wiped her tears. She felt like her mom had just caught her drinking with her friends.

'Yes' She said quietly, looking up through her eyelashes to check whether the coast was clear. Taylor looked so confused, possibly even more than Karlie felt, that it made her let out a little laugh. The sound broke the tension and soon both girls were laughing proper belly laughs.

'Oh my god Karlie. You are the cutest person ever.' Taylor said in between laughs. 'What's his name?'

'He doesn't have one.'

'What! That's ridiculous. He needs a name.' She said outraged.

'Okay, okay. You pick.'

'Well he looks just like you.' She said running her fingers down the tattoo. 'Here's your amazing legs, your beautiful hair and, okay, wow, he even has glasses for when he goes on the laptop. Karlo, no Karlos. Yeah that's Karlos alright.'

'Karlos, I love it' Karlie said, trying to hide her blush by reaching down for the remote. Josh didn't compliment her like that. She'd forgotten how much Taylor had made her feel so well, beautiful.

Taylor was watching her with open eyes. 'How did i get so lucky?' she said quietly under her breath as Karlie put on pride and prejudice, again.

She didn't mind.

When Mr Darcy said his first I love you in the pouring rain Karlie risked a look back.

Taylor was leaning against her legs, bundled in a pink blanket, covered in cats, and totally absorbed in the scene. She couldn't help but smile. This was her favourite. Not Taylors. And yet here she was, watching Taylor like no movie could ever compare. A sinking feeling had started to grow in her belly at the realisation. She had missed this. So much.

And then her arms were wrapped around Taylors body. Her head pressed into the other girl's back as she clung on for dear life. She could sense the warm heat coming from Taylors body, smell her vanilla shampoo, and feel the contours of her body that were still so familiar.

It felt like coming home.

Taylor sat back into Karlie's hug and they stayed like that for the rest of the movie. Karlie couldn't bring herself to let go, even if she definitely should. The day was finally catching up to her, her emotions were still racing but, deep down, she felt safe against Taylor's weight. It made her drift in and out until the stars came out and the complex went quiet.

The warmth of Taylor and her sleepiness had made everything seem blurry. She thought nothing of Taylor pulling her off the sofa, of walking back to her bedroom as the older girl followed. Taylors eyebrows rose at the state of her bedroom but Karlie was already under the covers, snuggling into the thick duvet, and was asleep by the time Taylor climbed in next to her.

'Josh?' Karlie asked, reaching over the white sheet with eyes half shut. The bed felt warm and cosy, light was just starting to peek through the curtains, and she had slept like a baby. It was perfect.

Until her arm felt something that was definitely not Josh.
