Adrian and Jason were locked in a fierce confrontation with Vincent and Alexandria. The Raven King would eventually allow the two death agents to carry on with their pointless mission of stopping the Demon Prince from opening The Gates of The Underworld. Upon entering the throne room of The Royal Palace of Beatrice, the two agents of death driven would be met by Brother Solomon of The Old Covenant. He would go on to inform the two that his lord is currently making his way towards the Gates of The Underworld beneath The Royal Palace. The Dark Priest would rise from the throne and inform the two that they would have to get passed him in order to pursue Asadel
Jason would insist that he stay behind, while Adrian pursued Asadel, which he would agree with. Solomon would attempt to stop Adrian, but would be halted by Jason's dark magical blast. The dark clergyman would begin to recognize the death agent as a former member of his Matrons covenant and questioned him for his betrayal. Jason would recall to Solomon when he and his beloved Sigrid was apart of the covenant and were betrayed by their fellow acolytes to The Soldiers of The Holy King. Jason's sanity would begin to shatter, as he recalled the events that led to his beloved's execution and false convergence.
Death's Messenger would go on to explain that after his mass slaughtering of The Holy King's Soldiers in Cillian, he would claim The Eye of The Prophet from his most faithful subject and retreat to Blacklight City. Solomon would applaud his former fellow disciple and counciled him to join forces with him. In an instant, a dagger would scar the cheek of Solomon. Jason would give in to his insanity and desire nothing more but to end The Clergyman's life. Solomon would become angered and proceeded to reveal his true demonic form. Having shed his mortal form, Solomon would reveal his true identity as Amon, The Fallen Angel King.
Jason would remove his eyepatch, summon forth his scythe and prepared to engage the demonic king. Like a jet, Amon would soar across the massive throne room, landing strike after strike upon Jason's body with his Hell's Pike. Every attempt Jason would make to strike at the Fallen Angel would fail. After lopping off both of Jason's arms, blood would spew everywhere and Amon would finish him off, by cutting off his head. Amon would stand over the death agents corpse and mock his demise, only to be struck from behind by Jason and an athereal version of his scythe. The Fallen Angel would back away and wondered how did he survive, with Jason informing him that it was a simple illusion.
Amon would proceed to further question how he ended up behind him and why did his scythe faze through his body. Blood would begin to ooze from the closed right-eye of Jason as he began to explain; " Attacking You Head-On Would Be Pointless, So I Decided To Use The Prophet's Eye And My Scythe. "Arioch, The Unknown," Holds A Unique Ability That Takes One Random Ability From The Victim And User! It Appears That I have Lost my ability to see out of my right-eye, However I Am Unaware Of What It Has Taken Away From You! Don't Worry, They Will Be Restored At The End Of Our Duel!" With that, Jason would further explain that he cast an illusion spell upon the fallen to alter his senses into thinking he had struck him down.
This would anger Amon, as he attempted to fly, but simply could not recall how to, which led Jason to slash his body with his scythe. Amon would proceed to defend against Death's Messenger's assault. Eventually, The Fallen would gain some distance from Jason and heal his wounds, as he slowly approached him. Amon would proceed to go on the offensive, but was unable to land a single hit on The Agent of Death Driven, which allowed Jason to cast his scythe's ability once more. Amon would simply fall to his knees, unable to do anything, while Jason was unable to hear a single thing. This would lead him to deduce that he had become deaf and Amon was unable to use his nervous system.
Jason would slowly approach Amon, as memories of Sigrid would flash throughout his mind. Amon would gaze upon The Messenger of Death, as a blood and tear streamed down both of his eyes and asked: " Who Are You And What Have You Become?" Jason would give a wicked grin from underneath his face mask and state while decapitating Amon; " Forgive Me, For I Did Not Here A Word You Said. Now Rest In Peace Fallen Angel Of The Underworld!" With the fall of Amon, Jason would dispel his scythe and regain the sight in his right-eye and sound would return to his ears. However, the sight in his left-eye would begin to dim, which would prompt Jason to conceal it with his eyepatch and locate Adrian.
Further within the palace, Adrian would make his way towards The Demon Prince, which led him to the Gates of The Underworld. There, he would encounter Asadel, who had inserted The Brimstone Key into The Gates. As the gears and cogs began to rotate, Asadel would turn to Adrian and inform him that he had failed. Adrian would draw forth his scythe and challenge the Demon Prince. Asadel would summon forth Demonic Gauntlets and punch a hole right through Adrian's chest. As The Agent of Death collapse from the attack, the gates would open and Asadel would make his way towards the entrance. Before departing Asadel would state to Adrian's lifeless corpse; " When I Return, This World Will Burn!"
