The seven rangers finally materialize, and Maeve let out a low whistle as she looked around her surroundings.
My gods . . . everything in the headquarters has gone haywire! Buttons blinked, emergency lights flashed, and a cacophony of electric sounds buzzed through the building.
"I never knew this place could be like this," Maeve admitted out loud, as she stepped further in.
"Whatever is happening cannot be good," Rocky said, moving next to her.
The girl rolled her eyes. "No shit, Sherlock."
Rocky let out a fake gasp, and covered his mouth so that only Maeve could see. He pointed at Adam and let out a tisk of disapproval, talking in a loud whisper, "Watch your language, Miss. Watson. There are little kids around, y'know."
It was Adam's turn to roll his eyes. "Shut up, Rocky. And stop milking out that joke."
"What is happening?" Tommy asked, as he turned to Zordon, bringing back the attention to the matter at hand.
"Ay, yi, yi, yi, yi ! Our thermionic-sensors have been hit by a cataclysmic surge of evil!" Alpha 5 exclaimed.
"Rangers, you must act swiftly. The planet is in grave danger!" Zordon announced.
The seven teenagers all looked at each other.
"Danger from what?" Kimberly asked.
Zordon looked at each of their faces. "Six thousand years ago a morphological being known as Ivan Ooze, ruled the world with a reign of unparalleled terror. Finally, a rebel factor known as the 'Order of the Meledon' lured him into a hyper lock chamber and buried him deep underground."
"What does that have to with-" Maeve started, but Alpha 5 cut her off.
"In a place that came to be known as Angel Grove," The robot said.
"-us?" Maeve finished off weakly. Rocky patted her on the back.
"The chamber has been accidentally uncovered! You must return it to the depths. or anyone should open it and Ivan is released!" Zordon exclaimed yet again.
"To assist you I have retro-fitted your helmets with new Opti-Scan devices," Alpha added in.
"Use extreme caution, Rangers. You are dealing with an evil here that is beyond ALL comprehension," Zordon advised.
Maeve groaned. "Why must there always be an evil bad guy?!"

At the construction sight, barricades and police tape surround the weird egg. A security guard passed his sleeping co-worker, dropped into a chair, and took a sip of his coffee.
