I went back and forth balancing on a strip of cement at the top of an empty parking spot. It was a cold winter morning. I guess you could say I was stalling. I knew what was going to happen when I entered the gate. I sighed and checked my Hello Kitty watch. 7:50, school was about to start.

I groaned and jumped from the strip of cement. I walked to the west entrance of Leaning Oak Elementary School. I was a fourth grader which was a grade I didn't particularly care for. My classmates thought they were superior as we were finally intermediate kids but in reality a majority of us still acted like we were second graders. I of course wasn't immune to this as I still hated vegetables and threw the occasional fit if my mom took my DS after getting a bad grade on a test. Never at school though. Here I was just the shy, bookish girl who hated boys.

I made it to the entrance and as expected to my left, leaning on the wall was Landon and his lackeys. One of them noticed me, notified the group, and a couple of seconds later I was surrounded by 10 year old white boys who thought they were tough. I guess compared to me they were.

{s} Landon put his hand out and said "You already know the drill, Camila."

I gave Landon a dirty look and moved my backpack from my back to my front. I opened the zipper to the main compartment and reached inside expecting to grab a My Melody lunch bag. I grabbed nothing. Confused, I looked inside the backpack and in it was only folders and a pencil pouch.

I woke up late today so I must've forgot to grab it from the fridge as my mom was rushing me to get in the car. I felt a small grin form on my face. These stupid bullies won't get anything from me. I looked at Landon who had a confused expression on his face.

"I don't have it...I left it in the fridge this morning." I murmured.

"Your lying. Look at her expression, Landon." One of the lackeys said.

"Yeah show us your backpack, nerd." Landon instructed.

I sighed and compiled, opening my backpack for them to see.

"Hmm. You weren't lying. I-hm..." Landon said at a loss for words.

I let out a small laugh. It was fun seeing their whole bully routine break down in front of me.

One of the lackeys noticed me laughing and sneered "What you laughing about, bitch."

I looked at him and steadied my breathing. I didn't know who he was but he looked scary. He was probably a sixth grader judging from his height and his really mean expression.

"Oh um nothing. Sorry." I murmured fast.

"Don't "sorry" me. I wanna know why you're laughing." He demanded with a booming voice. He pushed me with one hand and because of my size I toppled over. Luckily I was able to catch myself so only my butt hit the ground.

"Hey Timothy, your going to far for so-" Landon nervously laughed before getting interrupted.

"Shut up Lamb. This bitch thinks there's something funny about us and I wanna know what." Timothy said.

"So you gonna tell me what's funny or am I gonna have to do some real damage." Timothy threatened.

I was scared. I was nervous. I didn't even mean to laugh. Why was this happening?

"I don't know. I don't know." I muttered while probably cowering.

What did you say bitch!" Timothy yelled.

"Hey, asshole!" I heard a girl's voice yell from somewhere to the left of Timothy.

The bully looked over angrily and was promptly shoved to the ground by a girl who looked about my age.
