Eren's POV.

As it hit eleven-forty-five, the signup sheets were put onto the table sitting at the front of the cafeteria. The sign up sheets are for the new school play, Mean Girls. It seemed interesting enough for me to audition for. So, I stood up from my table. There was an eerily large crowd around the table. So many familiar faces! Too many. I wonder who I should audition for. My friend Mika stood up and called my name, I turned around and watched her run towards me. I grabbed two signup sheets and pushed one in her face.

"We gotta do this together!" I said with passion before I walk back over to my friends with Mika.  Armin, Jean, Connie, and Sasha, sitting at a table in the corner of the room. There were a few other kids near them, a little group of freshmen with green ties talking to another kid wearing bright, eye-bleeding red. Connie and Jean lean over the table, mixing their drinks together.

"Hey! put this in!" Connie shouts, shoving chicken nugget breading inside of the milk carton. Jean used a plastic fork to stab the inside of an apple multiple times, making it into a gross apple juice mush, he then poured milk inside of the hole stabbed into the apple. I stand and stare. I am flabbergasted. I sit back down next to Mika, where my food has been sitting.

I open my red and blue lunch box, spotting a go-gurt. Perfect! Underneath my ham and jam sandwich, I find a note my mother scribbled before she went to work. It said, "Have a great day! Love you <3" with a sticker on it. I turn over to Mika, she also had a note from my mother. She put a fruit-roll up in Mika's lunch. Connie's hand reaches across the table and snatches it. Mika snatched it right back with a glare.

"Paws off Connie." She chuckles.

"WHAT THE FUCK-" I hear from across the table, my head immediately turns to see what was happening.

"C'MON POTTER, IT'S NUTRITIOUS!" The blonde from the other side of the table yells, holding a worm to the other's mouth, his friends cheering. Where he got a worm, I was definitely not aware of - we were inside, no dirt in sight. It was strange and I don't even think I *want* to know.

"Should we... help him?" Sasha mumbled, looking at the peculiar scene happening at the end of the table. We all stay silent, staring. Sasha goes back to chowing down on her 5 course meal.

"Did you know that fish actually can breathe underwater?" Armin blurts out of nowhere before a worm hits him in the face.

"MY BAD." A brunette yelled, referring to the worm that started wiggling its way across the table. Connie leans over the table and grabs the worm, excitedly putting it into The Soup.

"No! I was going to give that to Hange!" Mika exclaimed.

"L plus ratio plus you fell off." Connie replied, giggling. The bell rings as everyone shuffles out of their seats and starts cleaning their tables. However, our table didn't look too clean. The whole cafeteria was almost empty as we were still sitting at the table waiting for Sasha to finish her food. Mr.Shadis stomped over to us with a frightened expression.

"CONNIE, JEAN, WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS MESS?"

Connie and Jean immediately started apologizing and cleaning all of it up. The paper towels weren't soaking up the spilled chocolate milk all over the table, instead spreading it around and dripping off the table.

"Fine. Just leave it to Mr. The Janitor." He sighed. He turned to Sasha.

"Finish up Sasha, this is the 16th time in a row." She sighs and throws away her empty plates of food.

"All of you get to class." Shadis sternly said. So we finally walk out the door going our separate ways to our own classes.
