CHAPTER 16: The unexpected meeting
"Jeno, I'm sorry I'm late" ren said as soon as he arrived at the cafe
"It's okay ren. Oh- please breath" jeno said cause he sees ren catching his breath "here" jeno said and gives him a water
"Thank you" ren said
After jeno noticed that ren is okay, he immediately gives their marriage invitation. Ren confusedly look at the invitation and reads it.
"Next month? That's too quick" ren said. He didn't think their parents would be this excited.
"I know, I don't know if we could talk to them about this" jeno said while looking at ren.
A lady suddenly appeared and gives jeno his favorite almond cake. Jeno confusedly look at the lady.
"Sir, the lady over there gives this to you. She already paid it" the lady who worked in the cafe said
Jeno just nod and looked at the lady she pointed.
"Do you know her?" ren asked him as he puts the invitation inside his bag
"Jase" jeno said and walks towards Jase. Ren looks at jeno and runs to him.
"I see you got the cake" Jase said while smiling. "Are you doing well? Oh- I guess so-" jase said while he looked at ren and smiled "Hello. I guess you're ren. Nice to meet you" she added
Ren just smiled and holds jeno's arm
"Jeno" he called
Jeno sighed and looked at ren
"I've been doing well. Thank you. I'm just wondering why did you give me a cake" jeno said and looks at Jase
"Nothing. Your dad told me about your upcoming wedding next month. I can't go, since I'll be going to USA. I'm so sorry Jeno" she said
Ren looked at her annoyingly.
"It's okay. Thank you" jeno said and holds ren's hand to go to their table
"Are you okay? uh- I know it's stupid to ask" ren said while scratching his eyebrows
"Hmm- I'm okay. I guess? You should eat this" jeno said and gives the slice of almond cake to him
"I love cake. So, I won't say no okay?" jeno chuckled at him and calls the waiter to order some snacks
"This is so good" ren said
"That's my favorite" jeno said while waiting for his order
"Oh really? Hmm! I love all cakes but my favorite favorite flavor is Chocolate cake" ren said and smiles to him.
"Noted on that" jeno said "Wow, you've finished all that" he added while pointing to the plate
Jeno's food arrived and gives the chocolate milk tea to ren.
"Thank you" ren said and slurps his tea
"One slice cake is enough. Have some snacks" jeno said
"Okay" ren pouted when he sees jeno eating a slice of red velvet cake
"ren" jeno's sexy low voice said
"He he! Sorry! Red velvet is my favorite too" ren said and eats the snacks jeno gave him
"I thought it's chocolate" jeno teases him
"yeah whatever lee jeno" ren said and rolled his eyes
"Are you sulking? You even mentioned my full name. Calm down ren" jeno chuckled
At the other side, Jase saw jeno chuckling and teasing ren. Jase just smiled and leaves the cafe.
'This is what you want Jase' she firmly said
