She took them to detention.

Teacher: Welcome to detention class. Have a seat.

Jacob and Jason sat down

Teacher: Now both of you pick up a material and read or...stare at me and think about what you've done (she picks a file and cleans her nails)

Jacob picks up a book on cats and starts reading which Jason sees.

Jason: Wimp

Teacher: Excuse me?

Jason: uh... shrimp is choking me (he coughs, picks up a book on dogs and starts reading.)

Meanwhile, in class

Teacher: ... therefore the trapezoidal rule is..(scans the class) Where's the new boy...and Jason?

Peter: They got detention, sir

Teacher: Detention? Why?

Chloe: They were caught fighting during lunch.

Red: (sighs) The new ones are always the trouble makers

Chloe: But Jacob didn't start the fight. Jason is just a natural bully.

Red: Oh! You were there right?

Chloe: I wasn't but I know he wouldn't start a fight. He doesn't know anyone in this school.

Red: Sure. Cuz you're a good judge of character.

Chloe: What's your problem?!

Red: You know what?! Just shut it!

Chloe: You...

Teacher: That's enough! Everyone focus on the board

In Red's seat she thinks to herself

Red: Something's up. I know it.

The bell goes and everyone carries their books to go home. Edward, Peter and Jason are seen on the street, going home.

Peter: Jace why did you pick a fight with the new kid?

Jason: I needed to test something okay. And I found it.

Edward: Found what?

Jason: He's not human

Peter and Eddie stop moving in shock

Peter / Eddie: What do you mean?

Jason: During our fight, his eyes...they turned golden. Guys he was able to lift me up!

Peter: You don't think he's a...

Edward: He's like us?

Jason: I dunno. We gotta find out. Quick.

Peter: Tommorow. During geometry class.

They went in different directions when they approached a junction.

Jacob got home rather stressed out. He throws he's bag on the sofa and lays on the chair.

Jacob: Ugh! What a day.

Voice: Back already?

Jacob: Hey mum

Mrs Whites: What's that? You seem stressed out (she sits close to him) Ok sweetie tell me everything that happened in school today.

Jacob: Nothing much to talk about.

Mrs Whites: Really? Fine. I made spaghetti...oh and there's a bag for you too...if you want to.

Jacob: A bag! From where?!

Mrs Whites: (laughs softly) Well turns out there's a hospital nearby.

Jacob: (sighs) Mum I told you. I...don't wanna be a...

Mrs Whites: I know

Jacob: I just...

Mrs Whites: You don't have a choice. At a point you won't be able to stay without it and... it's not going to be good. (Sighs) I hope you understand sooner (she kisses his forehead and goes upstairs) Your dad will be back soon!

Jacob carries his bag upstairs to his room. He remembers Jason and the fight he had with him

Jacob: Who is that dude? What does he want from me?

Meanwhile, a mile away, just past the horizon, in Transylvania, a group of people were gathered round a table. Men and women each with white skin complexion and dark red eyes, all fearsome in nature. There was noise and commotion in the room as each person wanted to air out his or opinion

Man: They deserve a chance!

Woman: There is no such thing as a second chance!

Man: He should have been marked by now!

2nd Woman: Marked?! He was only a child!

Man: Silence!

The place was as quiet as a graveyard while the man continued.

Man: As you all know, every seven years someone is qualified to bring a soul to this city. Katherine was qualified but instead of bringing a soul, she got married to him. She was told that her first son would be used instead but she ran away to the other side.

Woman: Sacrilege!

Man: Therefore, The child must die!

Everyone raised their hands in approval while the man cackles

Man: Send the boys to go and capture him in the other side

A messenger brings them to the man. They bow.

Man: Go. Find Jacob. Bring him here. Go!

The boys ran and in a second, they were gone.
