Are you ready?

It's fully night time and the boys are seen approaching the fountain. Red and Chloe reaches where they are... giggling.

Peter: Well I see you both made up.

Chloe: Yeah. We did.

Jason: Yo do you stay alone in that house? We've been there this whole time and no body came home.

Eddie: (nudges Jason) What's wrong with you?

Jason: What? (Looks at Chloe who's looking down...sad. Red growls at him) Am I missing something here?

Peter: Chloe parents passed on three years ago. Red told us about this. Were you not listening?!

Jacob: Really?... I'm sorry about that.

Jason: Yeah. I didn't mean to come off as insensitive.

Red: Too late.

Jason: (sighs) I'm sorry, Chloe.

Chloe: It's fine. What do we do about the vamps that are currently after me?

Jacob: (grins) We have ideas.

Peter: (rubs his temples) These guys think it'll be best if we corner them and fight till death.

Red: (scoffs) And...you agreed to that?

Peter: Of course not. I want to see if you have any better ideas. Literally, just any ideas.

Red: Well... cornering them is not such a bad idea. I mean tomorrow's the carnival. Lots of games snacks and people. The perfect place for a hungry vamp.

Jacob: I'm offended but go on.

Red: We could follow them and try splitting them up then take them out one after the other.

Chloe: And it's gonna work?

Jason: Of course it's gonna work! It's just one vamp.

Jacob: And how many did it take to hurt your shoulder?

Jason: (growls) Did you say something?

Eddie: Can we just focus here?

Peter: It's gonna work. It has to work.

Red: So we'll meet at the carnival.

Jacob and Eddie: Right.

Jason: Right.

Peter: Good cause I'm beat. See ya. (He turns into a black wolf and runs away.)

Eddie: (looks at Jacob) Alright. Take care. (Transforms and speeds off)

Chloe: Hold up!! Where do I sleep?

Jacob: At your house.

Chloe: Yeah it's Soo safe to stay at my house alone with two demons after me. (Rolls her eyes)

Red: (sighs) She's right. We'll stay with you.

Jacob: Who is this 'we' you speak about? I'm going home. (Attempts to leave but is pulled back by a pissed off Red.)

Red: (growls) Need I remind you that you're the reason those guys are here in the first and that you're the reason that Chloe's life is in danger.

Jacob: Hey she decided to get involved.

Red: It's not negotiable. You're staying.

Jacob: (groans) Fine. So pushy. (He walks towards Chloe's house)

Chloe: (looks at Red) Thanks.

Red: Let's go. (They leave)

(The two arrive at Chloe's house. Jacob is seen leaning on the wall making a call.)

Jacob: Mom I promise I'll be fine. The plan is gonna work...No they're not lying....They already killed one....yeah...okay bye...(whispers) I love you too. (He hangs up)

Chloe: Who was that? Your girlfriend? (Chuckles)

Jacob: Ha ha very funny. (They all go into the house)

(Moments later, Chloe and Red are seen in bed. Chloe's battling with sleepy eyes while Red stares at the ceiling)

Chloe: Are you...sure Jacob will be okay?

Red: Yeah...but I told him to yelp for help if something goes wrong.

Chloe: (laughs lightly) I just don't see why we can't stay in the same room.

Red: hmm. Go to sleep, Chloe.

Chloe: But I'm not (yawns) sleepy.

Red: (faces her and smiles) C'mon. Don't fight it.

Chloe: Don't make me sleep.

Red: Why?

Chloe: (yawns) I'm scared. That those guys will come back. That they'll take me away.

Red: (strokes her cheek) Nothing will happen okay? I won't let anything happen to you. I promise. Now get some rest. We have a big day ahead of us.

Chloe: (closes her eyes and slowly drift to sleep) Thanks, Red.

Red: You're welcome.

(Minutes later and Red is still not asleep. She slowly slithers down Chloe's bed and made her way to the kitchen. She pours herself a glass of milk to drink when someone startles her )

Jacob: Couldn't sleep?

Red: (nods) Mhmm

Jacob: Me neither.

Red: (drops her cup) Why?

Jacob: I'm just...(sighs) I'm not ready for this. I'm...

Red: Scared?

Jacob: (looks at her) Yeah. Everything's so messed up and now you guys are also in danger. Because of me.

Red: You shouldn't beat yourself up for this. (Sits on the counter) I'm doing my job...and even if it wasn't f my job... (Looks at him) I'll still do it anyways.

Jacob: (moves closer to her) Why? As far as I know...you don't care about me or what I get myself into.

Red: I don't show it doesn't mean I don't care (holds eye contact with him but looks down) besides you're not the only one involved. Chloe is in also and I won't let anything happen to her.

Jacob: (smiles) Thanks. For saving me the other day.

Red: (smiles back) You're welcome.

Jacob: Let's get some sleep. (Stretches forth his hand)

Red: (holds his hand and jumps off the counter) Yeah. Big day tomorrow.

Jacob: Are you ready for ready for this?

Red: As ready as I'll ever be.
