After another 2 boring lessons, the bell finally rang for lunch, I walked over with my tray of food to my table. Blakely and Lilah were already sitting there. Although I was friends with the both of them, I got the feeling that they didn't like me as much as they like Cam. Cam was the funny one who knew what to say and when to say it. Me on the other hand, I was more of a listener. Lilah looked me up and down before I sat down. Okay? I thought, that was a bit strange. I just smiled and placed my tray on the table in front of me.
"Hey guys! How was your summer?" I asked, hoping to make some conversation until Cam Bailey or Cooper got here.
"It was good." Lilah said bluntly before going back to here conversation with Blakely. Okay that was super weird. Lucky for me Bailey walked over right on time.
"Hello Ladies," He said before taking a seat next to me.
"Hey Bailey" Lilah said to him. So she talked to him and not me? Super weird.
"Hey B," I said, "do you know where Cam is?"
"Yeah I think she said she was going to the Library during lunch just to get a textbook for her Geography class."
"Oh okay! Want to come with me to go find her?" I asked.
"Uhh yeah sure, let me finish eating first" he said.

About 5 minutes later Bailey and I went to the library to look for cam. When I walked in I remembered that my math teacher said we were going to take an in-class test on algebra before our actual assessment.
"Hey Bailey, keep and eye out for Cam" I said
"That's what I was doing Delly" he said rolling his eyes jokingly.
"And I also have to find an algebra book to study for my math test." I said.
"Okay, I will wait here you go and find it. Let me know if you see Cam"
And with that I walked to the isle most likely to have the book I needed.
I saw it sitting there, the very last copy in the library on the highest shelf. I tried to reach for it, I was struggling, when I felt a hard, muscular body pin me to the shelf.
"Oh I've been looking for this everywhere, and it's the last copy! Great!" I heard a familiar deep voice say. I turned around and looked Colton in the his dark brown eyes. He was smirking. Oh that prick, he was trying to get me to talk to him. No, I wouldn't give in. He didn't deserve it.
"Oh did you want this?" He said trying to hide his smirk. I just sighed and pushed past him going to find Cam.

I found Bailey again. He said Cam walked out a few minutes ago and he was waiting for her to get the textbook she needed.
"Were you able to find it? We're there any left?" He asked.
"Yeah there was one left but then someone took it just before I could get my hands on it."
"Who? Do you know who it was that took it?" Bailey asked. Do I tell him and have him other, laugh and make a joke of it or go and track Colton down getting the book I needed and literally giving Colton more ammo to make fun of me, or do I just tell him I don't know who took the book. I'll go with option b.
"No I don't know who took it. Let's just go and find Cam." I said grabbing Bailey's wrist and pulling him out the library door.

We walk into the cafeteria, me still hauling Bailey around. Once I saw cam I let go of Bailey and ran to her.
"Cammie!" I said giving her an awkward side hug.
"Delly!" She said with a little laugh.
"Delly? Well that's a new one." A deep voice said from behind me. Dammit Colton. He's such a stalker. I slowly turned around meeting his eyes. I just stared at him.
"I'm sorry do you not speak English?" He said smiling at his own joke. I just kept staring.
Then he reached into his bag and pulled out the algebra textbook he stole from me before. He  held it out to me and I looked at him, confused and uncertain. He just nodded, telling me he was actually giving me the book. I slowly reached for it when he pulled it further out of reach. So he wanted to play this game huh? Well I'll show him.
"If you want this book you have to speak to me" he says spin a teasing tone. Hm so he does want me to speak to him. I was not going to let him win this little game we were playing, so instead of talking to him I just turned around and hoped that he would leave. I heard him sigh and then, heard his footsteps getting further away from me, walking back across the cafeteria to his gross football friends. Except for Hamish. Hamish isn't gross. Unlike the other Football boys he isn't a fuck-boy.

My next class was science and I had Mrs Taylor, great she pretty much hated everyone and she was really scary. I got into the classroom and on the board was a seating plan! We were in grade 10 for Christ sakes, surely we could pick our own seats. I looked for where I'd be sitting and I was in the 3rd row back sitting next to... Hamish. Wow this is literally a dream come true. I go to my seat thanking Mrs Taylor in my head.
I got to my seat and sat down pulling out my textbook and a pen. Hamish came a bit later but not too late. He saw the seating plan on the board and walked over to me.
"Hey, are you Delilah?" He asked.
"Yeah that's me!"
"That's a really pretty name. I'm Hamish" he said as if I didn't already know.
"Thank you" I said as I felt a faint blush grow on my cheeks. He called my name pretty, I never really liked my name I thought it was a bit formal, in a way, but now I love it.
"Okay year 10 be quiet I'm going to mark the roll." Mrs Taylor half-yelled.
About 5 minutes after Mrs Taylor finished marking the roll Colton ran into class his face tinted red.
"Hey Mrs Taylor, I'm very sorry I'm late. I was playing footy at lunch I ran over as fast as I could." Ha I highly doubt that. Mrs Taylor won't like his excuse one bit and he'll probably get a well deserved detention. I thought to myself. Wait. He wasn't even playing football at lunch. He was in the library with the textbook I needed. Oh well that's his problem not mine, and he's about to get a detention anyway.
"Come back tomorrow afternoon to make up for the 10 minutes you wasted playing football." Mrs Taylor said. I celebrated in my head.

There was 10 minutes till the end of the lesson, only 10 minutes left of sitting next to Hamish.
"Okay class, this sheet that is going around has your formal assignment on it for this half of the semester" Great an assignment already. First day back. Pippa, the girl sitting in front of me, passes me the stack of papers.
"Thank you" I say to her as I take them. I seperate one from the pile and pass them onto Hamish. As he takes it our fingers brush slightly, I feel my face heat up so I look down at the sheet of paper that has our assignment on it. That's when I notice that there are 2 different due dates on it. I put my hand up to inform our teacher.
"Yes, Delilah?" She points at me.
"Oh um there are two different due dates on the sheet which one is the correct one?" I ask.
"Oh, well that's not my mistake." she says. What? What does that even mean?
"What?" I ask trying not to sound rude.
"I said that it wasn't my mistake" she says. I know what she said.
"I knew what you said, I just wanted to know what one was correct. If you don't know who can I ask?" I say trying to sound as polite as I possibly can.
"I said I don't know! You can join Mr Bradbury in detention tomorrow afternoon!" WHAT? I was just asking a simple question! Ugh this is the worst.
The bell rung and I was walking home.
"HEY DELLY!" I hear the most annoying voice on the planet yell. Ugh for Christ's sake what does he want now? He hasn't left me alone all day. I heard footsteps running up behind me.
"Hey Delly, are you excited for our detention we have together tomorrow" I didn't say anything and just kept walking. Then he grabbed my bag and took it off of the one shoulder it was sitting on, and started walking the other way.
"HEY GIVE THAT BACK" I yell at him, whilst running after him. Then he stops. Just in the middle of nowhere he stops, but I don't have enough time to stop before I crash into his hard chest. He hardly flinched but I rebound off of his chest and start to fall backwards. His hand snakes around my waist catching me just in time, before I hit the ground, pulling me up to meet his hard chest.
"Auh" I groan. That's gonna leave a bruise.
"So you do talk. You had me thinking that you were mute," He says looking straight into my eyes, our faces only inches away. That's it, I lost and he won.
"You know you're pretty stubborn" he says, then he passes me my bag back, letting go of my waist. I feel my face heat and take my bag, I turn and walk away.
"Aww she's flustered, that's so cute." I huff and turn around.
"I'm not flustered, I'm annoyed. At you, stalker." I say and I turn around and speed walk away only turning around to check he's not following once I've turned the corner.
