Screams, insults, and hate echoed through the house as my parents raged at each other. Once again I was stuck with the task of trying to calm my brother down. When our parents fight we always end up in my room pretending to be asleep but really just listening to see if they would end it.
Suddenly Sam and I heard the door slam and that's when we both broke down in tears.
