Conner's POV
"Hey Cara, remember this?" I asked while holding up a frame keeping a photo of Cara and I, at her 12th birthday party at the nearby pizza place.
"What?" she said, peeking around the corner.
"This." I replied, lifting up the small frame. Her lips slowly curled into a smile once she saw the keepsake.
"Ha, my 12th birthday party. The location of the birthday cake incident." she stated. I laughed at the mention of the mishap that had happened that day. I still wanna get the kid back for tripping her on the way back to the table, when she clearly was holding a slice of chocolate fudge cake. The kid had the nerve to trip her which led to her falling and landing face first into the cake.
"Conner! Conner! Conner! Conner!" my chain of thought was interrupted once I realized that Cara was tugging my wrist to go for dinner.
Cara's POV
Conner quickly followed me downstairs to the dining room where a bowls of salad, mashed potatoes, and pasta sat neatly on the table.
"Umm, Sam where are Carla and Marissa?" I asked my brother who was alone at the table.
"Oh, mum said she was gonna go take Rissa to go wash up for dinner." Sam nonchalantly replied.
"Wait, what? Mum? Rissa?"
"Yeah, Carla wants us to call her mum and Rissa, that's what Marissa wants to be called."
"Oh" was all I said as I walked and took a seat next to Conner. I guess this is gonna be my perfectly imperfect family from now on.
