It is dark and quiet outside Hawkins Lab. The stars shine upon the black sky and hoots of owls sing from the calm woods around. Two scientists wearing white blouses peacefully quit the main doors, unaware of the intrudor waiting in the shadows. Chief Jim Hopper carefully slips behind them as they leave and enters the place before the doors close.

Hopper knows that the lab has something to do with Will's vanishing and he can only wish to find him trapped behind one of the doors from this building. He couldn't wait until the daylight to sneak inside the lab, or to use his Chief authority on them neither. They've already fooled him once - or they thought they did - and he is tired of playing games.

He discreetly walks the lighted and empty corridors, and quickly hides away in a room when he notices people coming his way. He speeds up his pace when the coast is clear and finds a plastic zipped wall with radioactive signs on it. He sighs and doesn't think further before unzipping the obstacle and walking through.

Determined, he stands in front of two big wooden doors and tries to open them, but they are shut closed. Jim twists and twists with force before realizing he needs a card in order to open the doors. He rolls his eyes and sighs, while starting to think about what he can do when armed guards appear from behind.

"Hands up. Hands up!" the first one shouts, pointing his gun nervously at Hopper with his colleague.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa." Hopper claims, hands in the air. He slowly turns around to face his opponents.

"Forgot all the cameras, bub?" the bald man in a suit mocks. Hopper recognizes the man: it is the guy who showed him the security cameras when Hopper and his colleagues were looking for Will, the guy who tried to fool him.

"Look, Dr. Brenner asked for me specifically, okay?" Jim lies with a smile, hands still up in the air. "How else do you think I got in here?".

The men seem to lower their weapons and Hopper scoffs at them, emplifying his lie. The bald man keeps his gun alarmed and picks up his supercomm.

"What's your name again?" he growls.

"It's Hopper. Chief Jim Hopper." Jim frowns in disbelief.

The man contacts his colleague through the talkie but Hopper doesn't let him the chance to say a lot of words. He throws a hard punch in the guy's face, before drawing out his gun and pointing it at the other guard. He shoves him on the wall and forcefully takes his gun away.

The bald man fell down unconcious while the talkie walkie tries to respond in the bakground. Hopper pants and notices the card from the guard's chest.

"Hey, you mind if I borrow this one?" Hopper asks while ripping it off his uniform.

He slips the card inside the device which sucessfully opens the doors behind him. Jim makes sure to keep pointing his gun to the guard before disappearing behind the doors. And to make sure that no one can chase him down, he shoots the card device from his corridor, breaking it instantly.

He then takes a small time to analyze his surroundings and sees he is in total darkness. He draws a flashlight from his coat and starts to investigate the place, calling out Will's name. He walks the white tiled walls and follows the corridors to search for him. Jim looks inside all the opened rooms he can find his way, and sees autopsy tables, phones, strange activities devices, but no Will.

He stops himself inside a room and is taken back by what he sees. A video camera is looking directly at a little white bed. A lion plushie is laying down on the bed sheets and the only thing hung on the wall, is a children drawing of two poorly made characters, a table and a cat. The smallest stick man has two small lines up his head while the tallest stick man has the name of "Papa".
