If Jasmine liked something as much as she hated it, it would be reading. Her nose had been stuffed in multiple damn books and she was getting bored.

"Just going to the washroom." She said to one of the guards.

"Wait." The man demanded instantly.

"Why?"

"We need to escort you safely."

"There's no bloody murderers on this boat are there? Like I'm pretty sure I can handle walking to the goddamn washroom. Thanks for looking out for me but I can piss in the toilet very capably." They ignored her and followed behind as she went inside. They station at the door. She slammed the door on them with a smile and made sure it was locked so they weren't looking at her.

"For gods sake." She said to herself and looked at the mirror. She was tired, as the bags under her eyes told her to sleep. After what felt like ages, she found nothing of amulets locations. The only thing she learned was who held them and how they died, which apparently was from gunshot.

She sighed before unlocking the door to meet her loyal friends.

"Did you even go?" One asked.

"Did you even- shut the hell up." She mocked as she made her way to the library. They finally stationed yet again at the door and didn't say another word. She continued reading for another couple of hours, before any true breakthrough.

Chapter 27 - The Diary of Violet

Jasmine flipped a few days, until something caught her eye, a small ruin of a monument picture.

Day 43 -

It's been almost 45 days since Noah, Liam and Alex died. I still see it the visions vividly. The gunshot ringing, the way they collapsed to their knees, it all haunts me, and doesn't go away.

I'm stuck on the East still, and I'm still being hunted for. Their was a close call today when I went into town to pick up some bread and supplies, and somebody noticed me. I was able to get away quickly although.

Everyday they get closer and closer to ruling all the Amulets. I need to find The Rulers of Light and Dark, but having to hide, it won't be so much as an easy task. And if all fails, I need to hide the Amulet, and pray.

The wound on the chest still throbs occasionally from where I was stabbed with the Blade of Immortality, I still need to find a way to alter the effects and make them go away.

I cannot win this war alone, and need help, if these pages every reach anybody somehow, we have to keep fighting.

The end is near is we don't go back to the beginning.

- Violet.

Jasmine looked up. She knew little of the wars between Amulets and their enemies, but was stunned when she read the news. She flipped though more pages.

Day 68 -

The war between us is growing tenser and tenser, they've captured all of the West in search for the Amulet and are working their way East. I have little time before I need to be on the run again.

I haven't eaten in multiple days, and I feel dehydrated and malnourished. I crave so many things, all of which I don't know if I'll ever see again.

I still haven't heard word on The Light and Dark Holders, so I hope their still alive. I plan to head North in the mountains and seek to look for them there.

I have found a cure for The Blade Of Immorality; a small flower in which only grows a few every decade, I was lucky to find the man, who graciously gave it to me in his contribute to help. Even if dark grows all around me, their is always some light to look into.

The days grow longer and I grow weaker. I don't plan to write much more, as I don't think I will make it as long as I planned. I wish to see my family, and to apologize for everything I've done. I love you.

- Violet

Jasmine finished reading and surveyed the next pages. It looks like she did make it another long while. She looked at the clock. Midnight. She assumed it would be okay to head to bed for the night and resume again tomorrow.

As she exited and told the annoying guards her intention, they agreed, but not before following to her room and watching the hallway. She was wanted to do one last thing before she fell asleep. She asked the guards one last question.

"May I see Wes? It'll only be quick and then I'll go ba-

"No." They replied in sync.

"Why not." She argued.

"You've been told the rules, now go into your room before we decide to change our minds and let you read for the rest of the night."

She rolled her eyes. Something suspicious was happening. If anybody could find out, it was The Shadow. She just needed a way out. She looked around her room, vents, cabinets, anything would help.

She turned to the window staring into the ocean. She couldn't. Could she?

It was risky, as their was no grips, and she would have to hope a ledge would be close upwards on the outside. Along with the curve of the window, it deemed impossible. She was blind. The Shadow had done many things, but nothing this risky. She tapped around the windows for weak spots, finally finding something satisfying, she needed a way to cover the blow. Looking around the room again, there was nothing. It would have to pry it open with one of her knives. Wedging it between the window and wall, she pushed and pulled with her strength until it finally popped off. It was time for the hard part. She extended one foot on the ledge of the window and pulled the rest of her body, balancing in a crouch position. She twisted her back towards the ocean and her front towards the room and stepped backward on the ledge the best she could. She tried to look up, but lost her valence and almost fell into the ocean below. The drop was about 15 feet below into the water and she couldn't get back up. She steadied her breathing, extending her legs in a standing position. She was ready to jump.

She jumped. She reached her hands out above her for any ledge to start her climb, nothing. The night crept more and more on her and she couldn't see very well. She finally hit something on her arm with great force. She winced at the pain but rotated her other arm towards the object and pulled upward. She was on top on a small window ledge. She looked down before looking up, I jumped that far? After looking up, she committed to the next jump, and one after another of window ledges, rails, ropes and even just the wall itself, she finally made it up.

To hell for that.

She never looked at stairs the same way ever again.
