3rd person pov

Dark choco cookie was writing a note for Licorice cookie
He was going to say his last goodbye and leave the darkness
The note said
"leaving."
- Dark Choco Cookie
Kinda rude of him to write his last goodbye like that but anyways
Dark choco sneaked into licorice's room and placed down the note on a desk as he said "Im sorry Lico."
He left the room and closed the door
That was the last time he went into licorices room and the darkness

...
Few hours later

Licorice's pov

I finally finished a mission i was assigned for and went to my room
I saw that the door is open which is odd since i remember closing it last time
I did really think much of it and just went into my room
I saw a note on my desk which is also odd
It must be a note from pomegranate cookie aka the worst cookie ever!
I took the note and read it, it said
"Leaving."
- Dark Choco Cookie
In bold letters
But what did he mean by leaving?
Was he leaving for a long mission?
But even if he was he couldve just texted me?
I checked my phone and saw that he had blocked me
"Could it be..?"
"No no im just overthinking it"
I said as i was trying to figure out what he has meant by this
I decided to go to Dark enchantress cookie and ask if she gave dark choco cookie a mission
I opened the door to her room and asked
"hey Dark enchantress? Did you give dark choco a mission?"
Which she replied with
"no, I havent. Why do you ask?"
I was shocked and getting a bit worried, what if he left the darkness? I decided to reply with
"No reason, sorry for the bother!"
I walked out and ran outside
I was running for so long i was out of breath but i didnt care, i needed to find him.
I decided to stop running and i was panting a lot
I looked around myself and saw that there is snow
I was walking for a bit untill i saw it.
Dark choco cookies sword, digging into to ground
I finally understood what his note meant
I fell on my knees and starting balling my eyes out, i was shaking and crying while the sword was infront of me
I dont know when I'll see him again but I hope it's soon..

3rd person pov again bc why not
Months had passed and licorice was still crying about dark choco
He missed him a lot
Licorice wouldnt even leave his bed and the others were getting kinda worried about his mental state right now
Licorice was about to lose all hope untill

Someone texted him😱😱😱

It was dark choco
He finally unblocked licorice and texted
"hey, sorry that i left."
Which licorice replied with
"its okay but why are you texting me now!? I got so worried!"
(Im just gonna show how the text went i dont have time for this shi)
"i wanted to ask you something"
"well?????????"
"would you like to go on a..date perhaps?"
"YES YES, A MILLION TIMES YES!!! WHERE ARE WE GOING!!!!!"
"to (whatever restaurant you want)"
"OKAY WHEN WILL WE MEET!?!?!?!!?!??!"
"How about (a time where its night or sum idk time so work with it)"
"OKAY IM COMING IN A FEW HOURS THEN!"
"goodbye."
"BYEEEEE!"

Licorice was jumping allover the place, he was so damn happy that he was going to meet dark choco again and it was going to be a ✨date✨

A few hours had pasted and licorice was waiting infornt of the restaurant for dark choco to arrive
Dark choco finally arrived and he a brought a bouquet of flowers, how nice of him (after leaving for months like how dare he leave licorice for that long😒)

Skip to the part where both of them are in the restaurant and talking bc i have no idea what to put here

"so..why did you leave?"
Licorice asked, he was kinda hesitant but decided to ask
"I left to live in the dark cacao kingdom"
Dark choco answered, there was no surprise that he answered so straightforward since he is a straightforward guy (more like gayforward)

Licorice was surprised
He didn't expect that answer at all
After a moment Licorice decided to speak
"why did you move there..?"

Dark choco thought about an answer, should he give a simple answer or a very detailed one? He decided to go with a simple one
"I found light in the darkness and managed to break the curse. After that I went to apologies and live with my dad after everything that happened. We are in good terms now"

To say the least, licorice was happy that dark choco found light but..could he find it himself too? How would he even do it? After years of living with an abusive and narcissistic parent how could he not want to find light just like dark choco?
"wow i am..very surprised! Im glad you found light and in good terms with your family"
Dark choco was pleased with Licorices answer but could feel that something was off........he decided to ignore it lmao

Two hours passed and they were both about to leave but dark choco had to do something first

"Licorice would you mind if i asked you something?"
Licorice looked up at Dark choco with slight confusion and curiosity in his face
"yeah sure"

Dark choco hesitated at first but he got on one knee and started to speak

"Licorice cookie, you have been in my life for years and became my lover, but ever since i left ive felt empty inside and felt like something was missing.. I knew i needed you because your the only person i love with all my heart..
So..Licorice cookie.."
Dark choco pulled out a box and opened it revealing a beautiful dark Amethyst ring
"Will you marry me?"

Licorice was speechless but after a few seconds he decided to give an answer
