Elodie stepped into the halls of the school with Damien at her heels, "I dunno how you got away with coming home late on a school night." He said. Elodie shrugged, "I was helping Timo practice, Uncle Kenny's a sucker for Basketball, and apparently has a soft spot for the vato." Elodie reasoned.
"ey it's bato," Worm called joining them, "with a b." He said, Elodie smirked, "no I meant vato." she said. Worm shook his head, "I can't believe that fool took Coaches challenge, ain't no way he gon finish that." He said.
"He will, He's got to - Timo's a hard-headed one but needs his team." Elodie said, "just...get the guys to support him. He'll be alright." She added. Worm gave the nod, "I'd smash the challenge too if I could look at you while doing it." He teased earning a light shove from Elodie. "you play too much worm." Elodie giggled.
Damien looked around at the walls and lockers as they headed up the stairs to the second floor. "um...guys." He murmured cautiously. The surrounding students whispered and giggled to themselves while eyeing the three friends.
"yo, what everyone looking at?" Worm asked glancing about as they reached the top of the stairs.
Elodie could see the boys standing before the small bulletin for School events.
"Had to be Amber," Jason murmured. Kenyon pointed a the bulletin, "yeah but that shit right there is creepy," He exhaled, "it means she was at El's house, dog." Junior said.
"who was at my house? what is everyone looking at...." Elodie's words faded as she pushed through the boys. The bulletin was littered with dark polaroids of herself snuggled up with her purple hippo.
"Those Pjs is cute though, and you don't sleep ugly." Kyra chimed in timidly.
Elodie snatched a photo off the board, "who the hell is at my Uncle's house!" she shouted, "Don't sleep ugly... girl I am drooling in this one!" Elodie gasped and looked around, eyes narrowed into a glare.
"Let the bitch who done it, step forward!" Elodie shouted into the crowded halls.
"Hey calm down, El. You can't get in trouble Dad would kill you." Damien called trying to draw his cousin back by the arm. Elodie shook him off, "Yeah and he'd get the sow that was trespassing too." she snapped.
"You heard my girl, where the clown at!" Kyra yelled out. "Kyra, no." Kenyon warned. "Uh huh, we stick together Kenyon. They can't just do this! Dominque, Peyton go get some of them pictures down." Kyra called to her friends.
"Don't worry El, we got you." Dominque said as they headed off, "I've got an eye out on the bitch who did it too." Peyton grumbled.
"If you want something to snuggle baby I can be your hippo!" A boy called as he closed in on Elodie. Worm and Junior took to her side, "I think you need to go elsewhere with that bruh." Junior said calmly.
"and what? You don't fight, got the nerve to have the last name Battle, nigga move." The boy scoffed. "your ugly ass want a shot?" He added.
"You'd know a lot 'bout ugly asses huh, gotta look at yours in the mirror every night." Elodie shot at the boy. "Yeah you know too don't you? should do the world a favor and never wear them pink boy shorts to bed, Your stalker should sue your ass, they probably blind as ray Charles now." said the boy, his small crew behind him cackling.
