(Your Pov)

After quite the insufferable evening, you lay in bed, tossing and turning to find what little comfort of a position you could. Ever since Thor arrived, all the normal tower gossip has turned to him. 'Thor did this', 'Thor did that', 'Don't you know Thor's story?' As was expected from the team when a member reappeared after months away- And, it would've been fine- if not for the way he tried to avoid you. He acted as if there were some horrible wall of awkwardness between you, despite only spending a few hours total together over the weeks since he's arrived. As if there were some unresolved business to inevitably talk about.

The others, of course, couldn't care less. Most likely blaming the tension on you being a new member, and Thor for being... Thor. They actually created some kind of 'initiation' meeting for you, since all original six members were now here.

You wanted to ask the god what you had ever done to him. But alas, evening rolled by all too quickly, leading now to this infinite fight against the hot and cold side of every piece of bedding to exist.

Without realising, you turn for the final time, closing your eyes after what seemed like an endless loop of discomfort.

*

A dark room. You couldn't even tell if it was a room, the pitch black surrounding your every side. And yet it felt as though your feet were on the ground, as you walked to find some semblance of hope.

After a moment, a faint light starts to flicker where the sun might've been. A single beam illuminates a figure sitting on one side of two chairs, aimlessly waiting for someone. Hope sparks in your heart- this must be a dream. That would mean this figure is Loki, and-

And he turned back to face you, his expression frozen in the throws of numb and cold. And tired. He just- he looked so tired.

"Loki?" You whisper, walking up beside his chair. He glanced up slowly, almost with a begging look in his eye. "What happened? Where did you go?"

"I don't know, Y/N." He chuckled dryly, "But I need your help. I hate to ask, but-"

You settle yourself in his lap, staring at his eyes. You could see how he tried to grow some semblance of strength in his pause, before it slipped away from him yet again. "Loki, I'll always help you."

Loki smiled, the desperate expression he held softening. "Thank you, Darling." A sigh broke its way out of him, quivering slightly at the end. You ran a hand through his hair, trying to provide some small form of reassurance. When he couldn't form the words, you found Loki reaching out to connect your thoughts.

Only one word bled through, stronger than the "help me" he muttered under his breath.

Rescue.

His plea tugged at your heart, causing you to ache with loss all over again. But when you focused back on reality, he was gone. You lost him.

*

Your eyes flip open, your mind jumping back into Avengers Tower. It felt like mere minutes had passed, though the clock shone out in hours. You glance around, finding everything in your small apartment just as you had left it.

With no Loki in sight.

Your heart ached to help him- rescue him how he had asked you so. But with no way to contact him, and no idea where to even start looking, it felt impossible. It should've been impossible.

But with the trail of Loki's magic still lingering about your mind, you decide to take the chance. The Avengers could survive on their own while you saved your boyfriend. You reach out, tracing the magic to the strongest tether. You felt your mind drag against space and time itself, the tesseract within you awakening, accelerating your race towards Loki. And find his consciousness quite literally in the middle of nowhere.

Now with a target- despite however little you knew- you summon what weapons you can to holster or sheath at your sides. Whoever owned that spaceship- whoever had kidnapped Loki- they were going to regret ever even thinking about taking him away from you.
