Chapter 18:
"Have patience, little one."Eloise-Anne
We've been walking around for hours and I can't come up with anything. As long as I can't come up with anything, Luke doesn't have anything as well. I am the important person in this assignment and it's honestly nerve-wracking. Normally I'd have more than enough inspiration to come up with anything, but right now I have nothing.
"Can you stop walking this fucking fast? I am tiny." I groan irritated. It's at least the seventh time I asked. If he keeps on doing this, I don't get a chance to even come up with an idea.
"Sounds like a you problem." I roll my eyes and stop walking. He can truly get lost. I haven't seen a damn thing yet because he's walking so fast. It's honestly not even funny. While he's casually walking, I'm running a marathon. I notice a small bench in a park and walk up to it. I look around and let out a sigh. My legs are tired, but so am I. He's the reason for both. I can't talk to him - not that I listened, but I just don't have anything to talk about with him. "What the fuck, Eloise-Anne," he says, unamused. "Get your fat ass off of that couch."
"Or else?" I ask him, rolling my eyes.
"Or else I make sure you won't be able to sit." I stay still and he rolls his eyes. He yanks me from the bench and I whine annoyed. I just needed a break, a very long one. "We were almost there, so stop being so annoying." He groans.
"Almost where?"
"The flowered garden roofs." He says, letting go of my wrists as he says it. I furrow my brows a little, I didn't even know they had that. To be even fairer, I didn't even know it existed, but that's fine. Hopefully, it looks a bit romantic so I'd have something to write about. I also hope nothing weird is happening between Ashton and his ex. I honestly have some mixed feelings about it, but I trust Ashton. There's no reason not to.
We step into the elevator and walk the last stairs so we end up on the stairs. There's literally no one here. I see a bench and sit down on it, grabbing my notebook and pen. Luke looks at me, waiting for the words to flow out.
"What are you waiting for?" He asks me.
"For you to stop looking at me and for you to shut up." He rolls his eyes and grabs his phone, unbothered by helping along. He is supposed to write a song about it, I don't understand why he isn't helping. Sighing, I write down the words I think of.
'His eyes are looking right into hers. The way she always hoped it would be. She was dying to be this close to him, but she also knew it was wrong. She wanted too many things; she never expected him to be one of them. There they were, standing in a beautiful flower field. The colors around them were so bright, she couldn't possibly imagine this scene to be even more magical.'
I groan and turn the page. I don't like it, it's not the vibe I want to have. I should be romanticizing where I am right now. A flower field on a rooftop. How the fuck am I supposed to write it all down? I don't even know what to write.
'As she drifted away in her own thoughts, he drifted away in her beauty. They were both such a mess, but when they were together it was a beautiful mess.'
Yet again I turn the page. This place could give me so much inspiration, but I can't seem to write down what I want. Luke looks at me and grabs the notebook, reading what I just wrote down. Probably thinking about some lyrics to find with the song. Then it hits me, I can romanticize this from my point of few. Hopefully Luke won't think it through, it's not like it's about us. Nor about me.
'She wrote down her thoughts, each one stronger than before. She had to look away from the notebook every now and then. She had to realize that life can be beautiful when you take your time to look at it. That's what she did, instead of writing what she wanted to write, she walked through the flower field. It was beautiful, it mesmerized her. She had never been so satisfied by nature. She just wished he would be there with her. But he's no longer with her, not the way she wanted him to be. Since he's gone, she can't shake the feeling of living without him.
