Chapter 36:
"I want to make a deal."

Eloise-Anne

I flutter my eyes and groan as I wake up. His arms are strongly wrapped around my body as if he's scared that I'm going to leave his bed. I am not gonna lie, it's actually kinda cold in here, so I'd rather stay underneath the blanket, with his arms around me. I hear soft snoring sounds coming from his lips, telling me that he's still asleep. Yet, a smile forms on my face once I think back about yesterday.

"Luke, I swear to god, we agreed not to watch horror!" I exclaim at him, sighing annoying just right after. "I fucking hate horror at night," the words roll off my lips, I don't even owe him an explanation, but maybe he'll show the slightest bit of sympathy. He shows me the opposite of what I hoped by rolling his eyes.

My bladder needed a release and the movie we just watched is over. I told him to look for another one since neither of us is sleepy just yet and I asked him specifically not to put on horror. It terrifies me at night, in the daylight I think those movies are closer to comedy. Apparently, he loves to do things to even slightly irritate me. I bet he loves the frustration he gives me. Asshole.

"It's just a movie, it's not real." He tells me, I raise my brow at his words. As if that matters? I asked it nicely, that's a whole lot for me. "What? Were you expecting me to say that I'd protect you? Lady, don't get your hopes up, it's a fucking movie." This time, it's my turn to roll my eyes.

"Can we please watch anything else?" I ask him, sitting down between his legs again. We've been sitting like this the entire time and it wasn't too bad. To be fucking honest, it's really comfortable and I love it. He just can never know. He'll either take too much pride in it or this will never happen again. Considering, this will never happen again since he's Luke. He's ridiculous. I pull the blanket over my body and watch how he looks through other movies.

"Just this time, lady." He says annoyed, searching through the streaming platform. "But no cheesy romantic shit." He says soon after. "I vote for die hard." A smile creeps up on his lips. He could choose a movie it's not horror. A smile creeps up on my lips as well.

"Yes! I love die hard, play it!" I say happily, making him smile some brighter, but the smile disappears very fast.

"I never saw you as such a die hard girl, Eloise-Anne." He says, running his fingers through his hair. I lay back down on his body and sigh contently. "But this might be something I appreciate about you." I chuckle at his words.

"Likewise, Bolton."

His grip on my body is getting stronger and the snoring is gone, he's groaning. I can't even remember falling asleep in his arms to be fair. I remember sternly that he was laying on the edge of his side of the bed. He didn't feel comfortable, I could tell, but he wanted it really badly. His arms get pulled away from my body instantly. I turn around and look at the curly blonde.

"Fuck," he hisses. "I didn't mean to hold you, I'm sorry." Of course, he didn't.

"Don't worry about it," I smile softly. He frowns at me, I can tell my cheeks are burning. "I kinda liked it." He smiles softly, trying to hide it in fact. "Kept me warm," I add. "Your place is an igloo."

"Okay," he speaks up softly. "Then I suppose I'm not sorry... For holding you I mean. The cold seems like a you problem." I roll my eyes and look at him. "I am gonna take a shower, feel free to grab breakfast. I was about to make some scrambled eggs, so if you also want that you've gotta wait." He says, leaving the bed. I pull the blankets more over my body as my body starts shivering. He frowns. "Are you really that cold?"
