Chapter 52:
"The day I'm fucking your ass."

Eloise-Anne

It turned out that we didn't go out that night and we all watched a movie. Tammy was mostly conflicted about whether to go to her mom and stay and enjoy the night as much as she could. She decided to stay, mostly for the comfort she got. I can't imagine what she's going through, and to be utterly fair nor do I want to. I don't want to lose a loved one.

"You already awake?" Luke groans when I shift into the bed again. I haven't closed my eyes in the slightest. I couldn't sleep. I bring my leg over his and hold him. He wraps his arm around me and holds me tighter.

"Didn't mean to wake you," I whisper. "Go back to sleep, it's like four in the morning." He opens his eyes this time. He had them closed the entire time. "C'mon, get your ass back to sleep."

"What's going on?" He asks me. "Don't say nothing otherwise you wouldn't look that awake at... 3 am." He says after looking at his phone. I bring my hand up to his hair and play with his hair. "As much as I love that, it's not going to work."

"Just worried about Tammy," I mumble. "And I'm not ready for you to leave and I know it sounds selfish." He chuckles after the second sentence. It really isn't funny.

"I'm not going to leave you, sweetheart. You know that, besides I'm gonna live nearby, we've talked about this." He presses a kiss onto my forehead. "We're gonna make it work anyways, okay? There's really no need to worry about it. As to what's happening in Tammy's life; there's nothing you can do but be there for her. She's very lucky she got Michael, God that dude's been talking about marriage and shit, how long have they been together, a year?" I chuckle at his words. Michael will make sure Tammy becomes his wife one day. I'm sure of it.

"You're right, thank u, Lu."

"I like the nickname," he says. I crawl up a bit to press a kiss on his cheek. "But how about you try to sleep now?"

"I need to pee," I mumble. "I'll try to sleep after that." He rolls his eyes as I leave the room to go to the bathroom. I press on the light and look in the mirror to find the dark circles under my eyes. Even if you have a bad sight you're able to see them. Maybe I look like a demon with black eyes, who knows? I hear footsteps coming downstairs and I open the door again to find Luke in his sweatpants. I chuckle when I see it, he knows no one is awake so I don't know why he's wearing pants.

"You needed to pee, I need a smoke." Only now I notice the cigarettes in his hand and the lighter. He opens the door to the backyard and leans against the wall. "Thought it would be colder." He admits. I walk outside as well and breathe in the fresh scent of the night. It is indeed not cold, but I wouldn't consider it warm either. He hands me a cigarette and the lighter as he takes a puff of his own. I light mine on and hand back the lighter. The flash of a camera hits my face and Luke looks at his phone after. "What?" He asks innocently. "I have literally no pictures of my girl. We don't even have pictures together."

"I have a picture of you sleeping." I chuckle. "You look adorable when you sleep." He rolls his eyes. "I never pictured you as the picture kinda boyfriend." I use the terrible word joke and he chuckles. "No, but I seriously never did."

"Watch me take pictures of you." He says. "Need to show off my girl." I put the cigarette between my lips again and inhale it. While looking at the stars I blow it out. Stars have always mesmerized me. I feel goosebumps appear on my skin when the wind starts blowing. I tap out the cigarette and watch Luke do the same thing.

"Are you ready to meet my parents?" I ask him.

"They've already met me." He chuckles.

"Not as my boyfriend."
