To be honest y'all, I can't even help y'all come up with plots foreal. Those are really the hardest part about writing, at least for me.
I can recommend y'all to check out some urban plot shops on this app, plot starters on safari, or watch some movies. Tubi has a lot of black movies to get urban plots from.
Sometimes even a small idea can help form an entire plot. Like for my book Dear, Xalani, I came across a tiktok from @/mimidarlingbeauty where she was stuttering in a drive thru at Starbucks.
All I did was take one of my repeated plots (where Kentrell is batshit crazy), and I made Xalani crazy too and added a stutter. There wasn't even a plot in that book foreal 😂 that's how easy it be!!
I'll make a reading list on this page with plot shops to help y'all out.
