1980
West Berlin

They had just crossed over from the East and into the west before the beginnings of a nighttime rain shower started.

"Everyone in position?" Anthony quietly asked over comms.

"Affirmative." They all responded.

"Good now we wait, and hopefully we find her. Standby." He went silent as he casually stepped from the shadows of the subway entrance, passing right by Outrider who was dressed in a raincoat and beanie.

"The boss wants you back at the gate." He spoke to one of the guards in German.

"Nobody informed me of any change." The German was skeptical.

"Well perhaps you would like to ask him yourself. But you know how he is, I'm sure he wouldn't mind blowing off some steam." Anthony spoke smugly.

The other guard had a bigger build than Anthony did, and he came to realize just by how much when the man slammed Anthony against the brick wall.

"You do not intimidate me boy. So do not even try threatening me." The man spoke quiet but sternly.

"Well if that's the case then why do you have me pinned like I'm about to hurt you. This is a very defensive position your in." Anthony had a confident look on his face.

"Soldier! Let him go." One of the guards shouted from a few feet away. The man listened and let the smaller man go. "Where are you supposed to be?"

Before the soldier could answer for himself Anthony explained that he was ordered to take over the current position.

"Get to the gate, now!" The ranking officer shoved the bigger man. He had no choice but to abide. Disrespecting a superior would certainly not end well. "And you.." he said once the other man walked to his new post. "...one more scene from you and I'll beat you myself." The guard shoved past Anthony as he walked into the subway station.

Anthony let out a quiet sigh of relief. He stood still and quiet, being sure to use his sharp eyes to spot any female with short brown hair.

He spotted a woman with an umbrella and red rain boots. The red gave him a very suspicious vibe. He waited for her to walk closer before he grabbed her shoulder and shined his flashlight in her face.

He was slightly frustrated to see that he had the wrong person. "ID please." He held out his hand, she  handed him the piece of plastic and nothing seemed to show a red flag. But then again wasn't that the point of deception. "Now why would you be walking alone on a night like this?" He questioned.

"To.. meet my brother for a drink. I haven't been a le to see him in months and I-" she began to ramble from nervousness.

"Why." He cut her off, trying to see if anything would give.

"Because he's been studying over in another country and-"

"It's ok, she's with me." The man rushed over, who he assumed to be the sibling. "Go. And next time, don't interrupt." He shoed them away.

"Was it her?" Polina asked over comms.

"Negative, just a dud." He mumbled. "How about my bird's view, anything?"

"Negative so far." Ruin replied.

He stood there waiting for another ten minutes before anything happened. "On your left, brown coat, dark brown boots, jeans. It might be worth checking out." Ruin alerted him.

He saw the woman from the left corner of his peripheral vision. Right infront of her were a young couple heading for the bar. He needed a distraction for confirm a positive ID.
