Fighting Destiny

Chapter One

"Someone once told me

"Get off of me!" I yelled ripping my arm from the leech . I latched hold of its throat and crushed it in my hand its head rolled to the floor I spat at it in disgust. Fucking vampires and there blood sucking nonsense.

All around me growling , hissings , screams of pain , and snarling and blood thrown into the grass of the field. The moon casts light down on the Lycanthrope vs. Vampyr war down below. I'm sixteen of course I'm scared but we must never show fear just like we can smell fear so can the leeches around us.

I jumped at the vampire as it charged at me in the process turning into my wolf ripping my clothes to shreds in the process. I grabbing latch of its throat coming to a skidded stop I spit it the chunk of meat out.

"Alex!" I heard my sisters faint screams.

I charged in her direction I looked around the now wooded area that I ran into . Her scent is everywhere and the many trees are throwing me off.

"Alex!" I ran off to the direction again.

I caught sight of a net ahead of me. I tried to stop and instead I crashed into it.

"Alex!" I turned my head to see my sister in human form completely naked in a net. I turned to my human form.

"Nessy listen to me I know your scared shit , I am too but we'll get through this okay. I promise-"

Snickering made me growl but I never moved my eyes from my sister. "I love you."

"I love you two."

I seen a needle and I blinked. The contents were blue and a sea breeze color. I closed my eyes and I began to thrash out everywhere around the net . I didn't care that I was currently stark naked kicking and swinging around needles terrify me. They killed my father and raped my mother. "Fuck stop moving!" A man grunted still I continued to kick and punch and scream. I was tackled to the ground.

The needle punctured my arm in the process. My eyes flew open and even though the net was still around me I looked deep into the simple blue eyes that coward away from my stare. I screamed out as the liquid flooded my veins. Fire. It felt like fire and I could only scream .

Blood curling , nerve racking , ear ringing , heart shattering screams from me and now I realized from my sister too.

"Alex."

"ALEX!" I jumped up hoisting myself on my elbows my chest heaving up and down. I wiped my forehead and noticed I've been sweating. The sun is poring in through my windows giving my room the pretty yellow of a homey environment. It would never be homey for me I always feel like something is missing and I never actually find it.

"Alex you were screaming again ." My sister pulled me into her arms. She knew what it meant that I was screaming. I've been having the same dream for the past four centuries , I wake up screaming each time and I don't know what it means.

"I'm okay Aria, I'm fine just come on its a full moon tonight if we don't feed we'll turn again."

I scooted out of the bed pulling my twin with me. We dressed quickly into the sluttiest things we could find and headed from our condo home to step into the sand. The best thing about living on the beach is there is always someone to feed on.

"Hey" We both snapped our heads to the boy jogging over to us. Perfect. We turned around walking up our stairs to our porch. He reached the end of the steps looking up at us.

"I'm Sean."

"Alex." I waved.

"Aria." My sister smiled batting her eye lashes.

"Wanna come in?"

He nodded happily. We walked him in and I grabbed his hand in one swift motion I held him by his hands up against the wall. "If you scream I will kill you." I threatened and he nodded.

I grazed my teeth over his skin in taking his scent. Sweet , he smelled sweet just like honey. My fangs extracted and he groaned. Aria bit the other side of his neck when I was finished I broke skin on the tip of my finger and I rubbed it on the two holes watching them close, Aria did the same thing.

I stepped back looking into his eyes. I caught them and stared deep into them breaking his mind barrier when I spoke.

"You were never here, You never seen us before a day in your life, to you we don't exist , go home and go to sleep." I blinked twice and I stepped back.

He looked around a bit. "Who are you?" He asked.

"Who the hell are you , and why the hell are you in my house? Get out !" I yelled. He furrowed his eye brows he ran out. I closed the doors and leaned against them.

"Listen Aria we cant keep doing this. Well I cant its too much for me , its quite overwhelming. I'm feeding my wolfs growling. Or I'm in wolf form and I'm weak. Maintaining both is to much."

"Alex , we are Lydians we have to keep both us and our wolf fed and well and strong or we will die we both know that we are all that's left of our kind."

I sighed. "Where did we even come from, I know your my sister , were twins and were eighteen I know we grow one age older every three hundred years I know our birthday and only our first names and what we are not much else. Does that not bother you? To not even know your own last name."

She shrugged. "It does I'm scared of the past maybe we were meant to forget it."

"You think its that bad?."

"We are Vampyric , Lycanthrope , humans I think it was pretty bad."

"We are not human. We just appear to be human, best thing about being Lydian."

"You know what I meant."

I laid my head back on the wooded floor looking up at the white ceiling. "We are vampire and werewolf my god we are torn between to completely different worlds."

"That are in war." She added.

"That's why we stay away from packs and other vampires we can kill them easily because were stronger ."

"Were stronger because we posses the aura of boths maximum power. "

"Exactly but we stay away so we don't bring attention to ourselves and then have to leave here. I don't know about you but even though no where feels like home we've been here what six centries it sure feels close to it."

"Maybe because we built it ourselves."

"Maybe. But, I rather build a house than by one, we don't need light and your lucky I put the pipes right. "

"Yeah we are."

We laid in comfortable silence before she sat up. "Are you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah I'm fine why?"

"I don't know I just miss you ."

"Aria we live in the same house we never leave how do you miss me."

"I don't know , I've kinda had the dreams lately too."

I sat up pulling her into a hug. "Don't worry Aria we may be different from those of the immortal world and not as free as we want to be but we have each other that's all that matters right."

"That's all that matters."
