Chapter TwentySeven

"Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process

he does not become a monster.

And if you gaze long enough into an abyss,

the abyss will gaze back into you."

"Were here! " Ray shouted.

Aria all but ripped the door off of the car as she climbed out and I followed after her. "God so damn hot in that car man! "

Aria complained wiping her hands on her shirt. I laughed.

"Tell me about it. " I groaned. I laced my arm through hers and we walked towards the building . It had police tape across the front door and forensic signs.

We walked in climbing through the tapes. Rubble followed by glass chairs and papers and wheel chairs operating tables and dried blood everywhere. Doors are off hinges and windows are shattered.

"What happened here? " Aria mumbled squeezing more to me. I caught a whisk of cold air and the smell of blood. I growled.

"Smell that? " I asked walking deeper into the dark hallway with Aria clutching me.

"Blood, you need to stop being scared Aria it's blocking your senses and the smell is kinda pissing me off your never scared of anything. "

"See that? " Hunter asked growling stepping past me. There's something about this place that's just so familiar. It feels like I've been here before. He went charging down the hallway.

"Hunter? " I called.

Nothing.

"Hunter!? " I yelled again about to run after him.

"Oh no your staying with me. " Aria pulled me to her.

Lyell and David met our sides.

"Uhh what the fuck is that? " I looked ahead to see eyes glowing in the distance I sniffed the air.

"Hunter. " He walked towards me and I climbed onto his back.

"Yall have some big ass wolves. "

"Shh Okay guys I'm letting my vamp take over since Hunters in wolf form. Try not to bleed or I will drain you. " I mumbled the last part.

"Uhh no don't do that. " Lyell said.

My vision blurred a red.

Arias POV.

"Lyell your a little too late for that she already took over"

I grasped his and Davids hand pulling them to both my sides.

"Yep and Ray gets no love once again" Ray said from behind me.

"It isn't a good idea for you to be trailing behind us get in front of us. "

He groaned rounding us as we traveled further up the hall.

"What are we in for? " I asked looking around.

"Zombies, Lydians, Mixed Breeds , Damphyrs that's if their still here. "

"What do you think smelled like blood?"

The hallway was dark and held an ominous chill. If it wasn't for my senses I wouldn't be able to see a thing.

"Maybe rat blood." Ray said with a shrug.

"Then what did Hunter chase?"

"How am I suppose to know I wasn't exactly paying attention to anything hotties blowing up my cellular device. "
