"Aaaagh !." I jumped out of my sleep.

I looked up at the torn and broken cement ceiling dripping droplets onto me. I wiped them off my face.

Sitting up I swung my legs over the metal table. Why am I on a table? Where am I? Why is it so cold in here? Machinery are all around me as well as ... Tanning booths? Uh, I think I should go. I slid off the table and dropped to the floor . Why couldn't I walk. The cold ceramic tiles draining anything left of my body heat.

I spotted a clock just above a door. Creak , someones coming.

"Listen Simon a Lydian is a very dangerous animal.... Yes, Vampire and werewolf ..... I don't know they aren't showing any signs its been a decade and neither one of them have woken up."

What! Its been a fucking decade , was I sleep that long ? oh my god I was in coma. "What the hell are you..."

Just as I looked up the whole scenery slipped away.

I woke up breathing heavily. What was that? I never dreamt that before. I don't understand, that man who ever he was talking about Lydians maybe there's more of our kind. Maybe we aren't alone, I wont mention it to Aria till I know for sure. I sat up rubbing my face . I slid out of bed and trudged to the bathroom , hoping to wash away the goosebumps from feeling so cold.

I stepped out the shower and walked into my room putting on a two piece bathing suit. I decided I was going to the beach I need a little sun. I wont have to feed again until next month thankfully because although I love the sweet taste of blood I don't like so much being the thing Ive grown up to hate. I ran my hand through my wet hair and sat on my bed pulling my knees to my chest.

Why cant I remember? Who I was? My last name , my middle name. What do these dreams mean? What if we aren't the only Lydians out there. What if something truly bad did happen in the past I don't think I'd be able to handle it.

I stood up taking a breath and walking to my sisters room. Wait. I sniffed the air. Someones in my house. I jogged down the stairs instead of going down the hall way to her room. I walked into the kitchen as I left the stairs. No one. I walked into the living room and there passed out on my couch was a little girl.

I turned and jogged up the stairs quietly and to Aria's room. I stepped in and she woke up. Shes a lighter sleeper than I am so why didn't she know there was a girl here.

"Aria there's a little girl downstairs sleeping on the couch."

"No there's not."

"Ugh , your telling me , I just got out the shower and I was about to wake you up when I smelled her now shower and put on a bathing suit after I interrogate her were going to spend the day on the beach."

"Okay." She whined.

I left her room and walked down the stairs stepping into the living room , it was empty. I frowned. How does she move without making a sound? The doors always slam when they are opened and closed. I mean I don't make a sound when I walk either that's the vampire in me . I sat where she was laying. I know I'm not crazy I seen her laying here. I sighed and leaned my head back.

"Ready ?"

I looked at my sister and nodded. "Wheres the little girl?"

"I don't know to be honest."

She shrugged and walked out the door and stood on the patio. We walked down the steps and into the warm sand. We are both wearing a white two piece bathing suit with hot pink polka dots. Walking down the beach we sat near where the water would touch our toes.

"Um, Alex we uh have to uh leave."

"Why?"

"Because I'm scared and my wolf is itching to come out and I know its been a while im still trying to control my urge and all the normals is making it so hard."

"So where are we going to go."

"I'm glad you asked." She turned to me with a bright smile on her face. "In Los Angeles we have a house from our ancestors and an ass load of money. Get this the house is a luxury one with a pool and everything."

"Uh, how do you know this?"

"Mail."

"Aria we don't get mail."

"Yeah we do everyday all that stupid papers nonsense to."

"I don't remember seeing any of it."

"Its nonsense I throw it in the trash."

"Show me."

"Wait lets swim first." We swam for a few hours then ended up wrapped in a volley ball game with some humans, I unfortunately had to purposely hit Aria with the ball so she wouldn't bite them . I felt so cruel.

After the game we went to the house and she showed me her trash. It turns out she used a drawer to throw all the papers in. Some were papers and some envelopes. I collected all the envelopes and brought them in my room. Sitting on my bed I started to open one when Aria came in.

"When are we leaving?" I asked her.

"Um three hours."

"You just knew I'd say yes didn't you?"

"More or less now get packed up cus' were getting on a plane."

"Oh boy."

I sighed and started packing throwing the envelopes at the bottom of a suitcase. My heart is beating a mile a minute. What if this is a set up? What if this is so we could get caught between vampire and werewolf war again ? I'm going to take my sisters better judgement I know she wont bring us in harms way and shes just as scared as I am.

*- I've lived here six hundred years . This place wasn't home but something close to it. I can't believe im leaving.
