Healin' Hospital had never been a place of chaos. Quite the opposite, it was meant to be a serene and positive world filled with spirits that brought healing to other dimensions. However, today that had all come to change.
The usually pale blue sky was now clouded over in grays and blacks, as swarms of palm sized spirits made their way in to take over the area. Alone they would just be pests - small, smokey black orbs with white eyes that drained energy and life from their surroundings. However, in such a large group they were more of a menace. Daiboru, they were called, spirits from the Daiboru Kingdom, and they had come to launch an attack on Healin' Hospital.
Left and right citizens of the world were being snatched from the ground and carried away, unable to effectively fight the army with their small numbers. The main area, the castle, was being ravaged from the inside out with daiboru in the process of ransacking it for healing goods. It seemed that everyone was helpless to stop the massive attack. Everyone, that is, except a small angel-like spirit crouched under a rock in hiding.
Doing her best to be sneaky, the spirit peered her head out from under her hiding place, staring at the carnage taking place in front of her. She was doing her best to remain strong, knowing that as of now she might be one of the only ones left. However, in truth she was terrified. She had never seen this many diaboru at once before, and at this rate they had no chance of taking Healin' Hospital back.
Not without help.
After watching briefly, she turned her head to whisper to the space next to her.
"Dai, are you still there?"
In response, a second spirit emerged from hiding next to her. He was much different in appearance to his sister - a dark pink, demon-like spirit with a small blue nurse hat. He was trembling visibly as he came to join her in watching.
"Y-yeah, I'm here... What're we gonna do, Kirai?"
For a moment, there was no response, as the two of them simply stared in anxiety and sadness at the destruction in front of them. However, eventually Kirai spoke again.
"We need to find the pretty cures," she said in a determined whisper. "They're the only ones who can help us now."
She proceeded to take a small, clawed paw and reach into the dirt behind them. There rested a tiny gem-like orb, shining despite the lack of light in their space. This was their ticket out - a teleportation device that could only be used once, and would send them straight to earth.
"Are you ready?"
Her companion, Dai, swallowed thickly before nodding his agreement. Thus, together they placed their paws on the device and cracked it open with their claws. It shook once, twice, and then in a flash of pink light the two of them disappeared, leaving behind them a fallen world.

In Japan, in the city of Chiyukoe, the atmosphere was much different. The morning sun shone over a cool spring day, touching calm neighborhoods with neat houses. One of these houses in particular was home to someone who was yet more important than she realized.
The sounds of clicking keys filled the room as Yawara typed away on her computer. Her room, scattered with piles of stuffed animals, was otherwise silent except for this noise. This was how most of her mornings went - sitting at the computer and browsing her favorite online forum boards. These in particular were "menhera" boards; people came here to talk about their struggles, share vent art, and ask for advice. She was fairly well known there due to how much time she spent advising and comforting others. It was something she loved to do. Something that gave her a sense of purpose.
