         Regulus had long since had a crush on his brother's best friend, James Potter, but being as James was probably straight, and thought he was straight (Yah Ok bud) he thought he should maybe come out first.

         "I'm gay." Maybe not like that. James looked up from his phone for a second to stare at Regulus, amused. James snorted at the nervous look on Regie's face and looked back down. 

           "Yeah I figured. Who dresses like that? Well, besides Moony but, like, he's sleeping with your brother soooooo..." James just shrugged before taking a picture of himself and, Regie was watching, sent it to '✨🧔‍♀️Evans✨🧔‍♀️'.

"Yo, what the hell? Why the emojis?" Regulus laughed, but James just shrugged and switched to a different conversation with, '🖤✨Baby Black✨🖤' and sent 'Only the funniest from the funniest' and Reggie got the notification, as if they weren't side by side. Reggie snorted again, "Really? The hearts and all?" James winked at Regulus and blew a kiss before looking back down. Regie's heart skipped a beat.

"Don't do that." Regie spluttered, his cheeks heating up.

"Awww, you love it." James whispered, his voice playful.

"Well, I can't deny it, but you should still stop." Regulus rolled his eyes. James looked up, excited.

"So, you do love me?" James said smugly. Regie paused at the pleased expression on the older boy's face. He shrugged, but he reconsidered it when James frowned, looking disappointed.

"If I say I'm hopelessly in love with you will you leave me alone?" Regulus sighed. James smirked and nodded. Regulus watched as James stood up and walked over to the chair Regie was laying in.

            "I guess, if you really mean it."  James grabbed Regie's chin and tilted his face up to look right into James' eyes. "Do you?" He whispered after a moment, chewing his bottom lip.

Regulus just watched him, breath hitched and all. "I- I guess I like you but I'm not hopeless or whatever I said before." He pulled his face away, trying to hide the blush on his pale cheekbones. James smirked and nodded, a mockingly wise expression on his face.

           "But of course, Regulus, forgive me for thinking such a thing. To make it up to you," James paused to take a breath and grab Reggie's chin back gently, "can I give you a kiss?" Regulus smiled, he loved how gentle James was being, he never saw James like this. "Reggie?" James whispered again and Regulus felt the hot breath on his lips and he nodded slowly.

            Regulus didn't know how to describe that first kiss. His first kiss. Their first kiss. He gaped at James for a moment, trying to come off like that wasnt the most amazing moment out of the sixteen years of his entire existence. "Do it again." He whispered.
