(So idk but I feel like Reg would play baseball or basketball, Siri would play baseball, Remus basketball, and our pretty boy James would play football? Well, for this, we'll go with that, and say Reg plays basketball on a college team with Remus, but James and Sirius go to a different college. And Sirius+Remus are on scholarships, but James' parents paid for his and same with Reg because he's the favorite child. Sooooo~ Let's roll with that, yeah? Keep in mind this is a
!MUGGLE AU!) (OH GOD GUYS THIS IS A LONG ONE: 2403 WORDS AND THERE WILL BE A PART TWO. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AN ENTIRE BOOK SO LEF ME KNOE IF YOU'DE BE INTERESTED IN THAT BC OBVI IT WOULD BE LONGER AND MORE DETAILED)

(So the format is weird just ignore it okay?)

"Hey, James, wanna go meet my boyfriend? He has open practice in a public gym today, so we can go watch." James practically fell off the couch. Sirius had this secret boyfriend -Remus, though Sirius called him Moony- that he hadn't let James meet; at least not yet.
"Well, duh, Sirius." He jumped up and threw on his jacket and worn, red converse. Sirius shook his head, laughing. When the boys arrived, Sirius jogged ahead of James. Once James got in the actual gym, the first thing he noticed a guy in his jersey. James had long lost his practice jersey at some party, with no memory of where or how. Apparently this boy had it now.
"Oh, ew, is that your jersey?" Sirius scoffed. James just nodded dumbly. Because this guy, oh God, he was beautiful. As he ran some drill James' football-trained mind could never understand his hair flopped around in dark curls, perfectly framing his pale face. He had the same, sharp jawline as Sirius, the same high cheekbones and slim eyebrows. James watched him in growing attraction. He really was gorgeous. "That's my little brother." Sirius said sourly.
"Oh. Regulus?" Sirius nodded, squinting angrily. James let his eyes wander again. This time, when Regulus shot, James saw many tattoos littering his left hand; he couldn't see his right from the angle, but he assumed it was the same. As Regulus jogged back towards the line he had come from, James got a much better look.
Regulus had black dot on each knuckle, a thirteen on his lower ring finger, and a flower over the joint above it. He had tattoos on every finger James could see; his middle finger had an exclamation on the top and a face on the bottom that could be read as a smile or a frown, depending on how you looked at it. [ :): ] But that wasn't it, his pinkie was covered in stars, and his index finger had a butterfly on the middle joint. James stared openly, he had so many tattoos, and that was on his left hand alone. Even his thumb had been tattooed. It looked skeletal, with vines and flowers surrounding it. The last and most interesting tattoo James saw was when Regulus reached out to pass the ball. It was a semicolon below his wrist, it was threatening to creep up base of his hand below his pinkie.
However, the view wasn't entertaining for long; a guy crept up behind Regulus and grabbed his hand, pulling him close. "Oh, stop! Not at practice you twat!" James bit his bottom lip in frustration. The guy wasn't even that good looking. He was James' height with floppy brown hair, and  sparkling green eyes, he had a playful smirk and a barking sort of laugh. Who was James trying to fool? He was extremely good looking.
"Crouch! Get off of Black so we can practice!" That was the coach. James agreed, Regulus needed to practice. He needed to get as far as possible from this boy. Crouch. Ew.
"How gross is that? My brother's one of those homophobic guys, if you couldn't tell. Acts all gay with his friends, but he's so homophobic he'd ditch any of them if they genuinely came out to him."  Sirius scowled, but James could see the hurt behind it.
                    "Hey, man, I-"
"Look! There he is!" Sirius gripped James' shoulder tightly, and he turned to see the boy coming out of the locker room with a ball.
"Okay, damn, I see you. He is hot." James whistled. And he was. He was tall and thin, but not scrawny; the muscles in his arms seemed to pulse as he dribbled. He had floppy brown hair that seemed the color of mud, but in the light it revealed a spectrum of color, from blonde to a medium-brown. He had deep brown eyes that crinkled with happiness the very second he saw Sirius. Sirius giggled quietly when he smiled and winked at him.
James was almost floored with laughter, having to press his palms to his knees in order to support himself as his chest heaved with laughter. "Oh. My. God. You just giggled. I might literally die." Regulus and Moony were watching them, looking slightly amused.
Regulus' eyes went a little wide and he leaned forward, tugging on the taller boy's shirt, to whisper something in Remus' ear. Then, it was Remus' turn to go wide-eyed, glancing back at James. The two began whispering rapidly. Every once in a while Remus or Regulus would laugh, or slap each other, or kick one another lightly.
After a few more minutes their coach called a huddle. "Black, call us." The coach sighed. Regulus called something out. '... on three!' James was too busy catching his breath to hear what. "ONE! TWO! THREE! TEAM!" They chanted. (Idfk guys im not tryna make up a team)
"Hey, Sirius," Moony called softly, jogging towards the two.
"Remus," Sirius smiled, chewing his lip, before leaning up to gently kiss the taller boy's lips.
"Oh, gross not gay people!" James said, mocking shock and disgust. Remus looked up in shock. Fear and anger flashed in his eyes for a moment, and he opened his mouth to object before Sirius cut in.
"Right. Because you're just sooo straight and you've never kissed a guy." Sirius deadpanned. James laughed and shrugged theatrically. Sirius glared over his shoulder so suddenly, James almost fell over spinning to look. Regulus was approaching them.
"Moony, Sirius... Potter." James froze at the sound of his name. Regulus had the same mysterious accent as Sirius. He never knew what it was, and Sirius denied having an accent. 'I'm the same as you, mate, just with a lot more trauma' he would say, with a shrug.
"That's my shirt." James said, because he couldn't think of anything.
"Yeah. I know." Regulus looked thoroughly unimpressed.
"Oh, for God's sake, just give it back, Reggie." Sirius spat.
"No, don't, it's not a big deal, I mean, really-" but James couldn't finish; Regulus simply pulled the shirt off and handed it to James. Holy fuck. because James had thought he was good looking with a shirt on. He knew he was staring, he was actually very aware, he just couldn't stop.
"You have a staring problem? Or we just forget our glasses today, hmm?" Regulus drawled into the tense silence. James went to give (and probably stutter) a response, but Regulus pushed passed them into the locker room to shower.
As Regulus sulked in the shower he thought through the way James looked at him like that. Fucking weirdo. He thought, as he sulked out, even though he liked it.  When he stepped into the cold air he say James hand Barty something and jog off. "Aww, lover, look he left you his number." Barty cooed, handing Regulus James' jersey with a note on top.
-Hey Regulus, I would have told you in person but your brother would have killed me. I'm leaving my number if you wanted to call me and, I don't know, meet up? But here's my number so feel free to call me but no pressure: xxx-xxx-xxxx (again idrk so whatever)
Regulus was floored. Call him? He was absolutely going to call him. Text him, actually, because he hated his voice. When Regulus got home he texted James.
