With Cody no longer in Noah's apartment, it somehow felt uncomfortably empty. He used to have no trouble being on his own, so this feeling of something missing was pretty new to him. As if he never lived alone before.

It's been almost a week since his boyfriend (which he is still shocked about. Cody, out of anyone, liking Noah? They made such a weird couple but it works) had left to his parent's place. His only real company now was his golden Labrador, who currently laid on the bed curled up next to Noah playing with a chew toy in mouth.

To be fair, he's surprised Cody was still trying to keep constant contact with him.
Texting, calling, and god damn the guy even sent him a surprise letter two days after he got back home for some reason.
It was pretty sweet...

Noah was reading the letter again.

"Dear Noah,

I know writing a letter is pretty weird, probably, but I thought sending you something you could actually hold physically would be nice.
Plus, it just feels nicer to me compared to a text, more intimate, I guess?
Anyways, I just wanted to write that I'm missing you more each time I wake up, being back home sucks. My parents don't seem to be suspicious about us, thankfully, they have no clue who you actually are and what we have. All they think is that I stayed over at some friend's place. They did mention that I probably was a hassle for you, and honestly the more I think about it the more I believe it.
I apologize for any inconvenience I brought, and really just for interrupting your life.
But at least we got to get closer, right?
I think it was worth it :)
