Noah felt a little guilty for leaving the geeky boy on read while he dealt with the grumpy customer that had the nerve to complain about his coffee's temperature. What if your coffee isn't steaming hot? Noah didn't give one single fuck.
Now that the customer left after Noah's sarcastic comments, he fetched for his phone that he stuffed into his apron's pocket.

Noah's heart felt a slight pang when he saw that Cody responded without being sent a text back. He didn't take that long did he-? He furrowed his eyebrows as he read the lengthy text.

Cody:
Sorry !! That text was so out of context- I know you don't really like being around others or anything and prefer your alone time but please can I stay?? Ive tried asking other people but they all seemed to make excuses- Trent is too busy with his gf, Owen and Izzy are going on vacation and I don't want to ruin their couple time, and blah blah you get the deal. I would ask a family member but that won't be a very smart choice- reason is that the problem surrounds my parents and if I went with a family member they'd just send me back. My parents have been kinda abusive haha?? They don't hit me or anything! But they keep yelling at me when I tell them to stop arguing and I can't take it. They argue every night I can barely sleep due to their yelling- and their rude comments about me aren't really helping. Haha,, yikes
4:00pm

Noah's fingers began typing but soon stopped when another text was sent by Cody.

Cody:
Haha that was kinda embarrassing, sorry. I understand if you don't want me to live with you for a few days
4:05pm

Noah unconsciously frowned and began typing out his reply.

Me:
Chill, it's fine. As much as I do enjoy my oh so precious alone time, I don't want your parents tomfoolery to harm you.
Pack up your bags, codester.

Noah pressed sent and put his phone back into his pocket, pondering about what he just did.
Wow, he thought.
Albeit Noah did dread the thought of someone else in his apartment, eating his food, and using his bathroom, he is kinda excited as to how this will go-? He tried to push that emotion down, though.
He then began traveling through his brain, memories of the boy coming back from their time on Total drama. He still couldn't believe that he would accidentally cuddle up to him and kiss his damn ear. He wouldn't lie, the memory still embarrassed him, especially because that wasn't the only time the two were caught doing something of that sort. He also remembers when they were being rescued by Chris on a plane- and before that happened they ended up cuddling again!

If that were to happen-somehow-while Cody stays over at his place, Noah wouldn't know what to think of it.

"Ey, Noah, whatcha thinking about?"

Snapping out of his gay ass thoughts, Noah furrowed his eyebrows at his coworker, "oh you know, just daydreaming about not working"

The other man laughed and shoved Noah playfully- although a bit too harsh. Noah slightly stumbled back and rolled his eyes.
"Ah, classic Noah. Anyways, your shifts done, have you noticed that? Or were you too busy dreaming about "not working"?"

Oh?

Noah's face flashed with confusion as he checked his phone.
5:00 pm

Wow.

Time went by quickly when you're thinking about the boy you accidentally cuddled with.

Returning to his usual unimpressed expression, he took off his apron and grabbed his lunch bag, "welp, bye. Have fun working or whatever."
His coworker just hummed in response and went over to help a customer waiting for their order.

As he left the store, he checked his phone to see if Cody responded.
He did.

Cody:
Oh my gosh thank you! :D !! I am getting my bags packed now! I doubt my parents will care if I left, so I'm just going to leave a note on the fridge haha. Thank you again dude :)))

Noah couldn't help but smile. Cody used a lot of emoticons. It was kinda cute, kinda annoying. But mostly cute.
This definitely wasn't the first time Noah thought Cody was cute. Some of you may not know, but Chris once had the contestants play a game where you had to guess what competitor you are thinking about by telling the player one thing about said competitor. And one thing Noah said about Cody was that he thought his tooth gap was cute.
What? It's true! You can't deny that.

Me:
Don't mention it. While you pack your bags I'm gonna go enjoy my alone time that'll soon be taken away. Tragic.
