"And you, love..." he began, picking up the ropes and wrapping them around my legs.
"Ready to board a pirate ship?" he asked, looking into my eyes and smiling gently.

I swear, my ears went red, and I coughed awkwardly.
"I'll take your silence as a yes, m'lady."
M'lady?!?!? I've never been considered a human, let alone a lady. I felt...kinda special....NO! No! No! No. Stop it, stop it, stop it!
The captain lifted me up and set me on his shoulder, making his way to the ship. I was too shocked to do anything, so I stayed still, making it seem like the captain carrying my heavy body was a breeze.
We reached the vessel, which looked so much bigger up close.
"Beautiful, isn't she?" the captain smiled gently. He stepped onto the ship and removed me from his shoulder, tying me to the mast.
"Can't have you running away or hiding, now can we, darling?" I huffed and turned away. He chuckled and held my chin, making me face him.
"You're very beautiful, darling, S'why I took you instead of your sister." My ears went red again and the captain smiled. "Mingi!" he called. A man with fiery red hair came and smiled softly at the captain, taking a few glances at me.
"Captain."
"Watch this jewel for me, will you? I have a matter to attend to." A matter to attend to? I was a little curious.
"Aye, aye, captain." The captain smiled and thanked 'Mingi' and took his leave. It was silent for a few minutes then Mingi cleared his throat awkwardly.
"He's right, you know," he said.
"About what?" I asked.
"About you being a jewel. You're very dashing." I stayed silent and Mingi continued.
"You don't see many of your kind around these days." I was quite puzzled.
"My kind?" Mingi chuckled and nodded.
"Your kind. Everyone's all about being white and clear skinned, as if there's not a drop of blood in their body." I chuckled and he looked relieved that I broke a laugh.
(Honestly, no offence to light skinned people but Isabella is black. If you didn't notice, look at chapter 1, her description and comparison with her sister)
"It's good to see someone with blood and a brain."
"I guess," I shrugged.
"Are you going to keep answering me with two-word questions?" Mingi asked jokingly.
"Probably, yeah," I smiled softly.
"To be honest, I'm shocked you're not taking advantage of the captain's absence and asking me to untie you."
"Would you?"
"No."
"Exactly."
"You're very logical."
"I know."
"I have to warn you, though." Mingi sighed. I hummed and he continued. "You're not the only lass on board. Her name is Estrella and she's a bit...-" Mingi was cut off by the very loud sound of a door being kicked open by a petite who reminded me of Augustina in a pink coat and pink rimmed black hat with a large feather on it. "That." Mingi finished off, wincing.
"Hello, everybody!" she smiled, her milky white teeth glinting in the sunlight. She sashayed to the wheel, leaning on it for a few seconds then spotting a blonde guy carrying a box of chocolate pastries. Brioche, I think.
"Oooh!" she shrieked in delight, skipping down the stairs two at a time onto the main deck. "Hwa, can I taste one, pretty please?" she batted her eyelashes. "Don't bother me, Estrella," he said coldly, not even sparing her a glance and walking past her, going through a door and slamming it behind me.
"Entitled, extravagant, crazy, you mean?" I asked, grinning.
"Exactly, and then some!" Mingi laughed loudly. I joined him then a snotty voice cut us off.
"What are you laughing at, stowaway?" she sneered.
"Leave her alone, Estrella." Mingi sighed.
"Ah, ah, ah, Mingi. This is between me and this...this...this thing." I smirked and nodded my head, motioning for her to take a shot at me.

"Last time I checked, you're not the captain." I scoffed.
"I'm the only lass on this ship."
"What am I, chopped liver?"
"There can only be one lady on board, and that's me!"
"How's that going for you?"
She brought a cutlass to my neck and growled, squinting her eyes at me.
"I'm the special one! Not you! Why are you here?"
"To be honest, I don't know. But you're very annoying so I guess everyone needed a breath of fresh air." I said, laughing.
Estrella got so pissed and removed her sword from my neck, stomping away.
"Where's Yunho?!?!?" she screeched.
A startled pirate jumped and shrugged, shaking his head. Estrella screamed in frustration and went through a door, slamming it behind her.
"God, everyone is slamming doors today. Jongho's going to be mad." Mingi tutted.
"Who's Jongho?" I asked.
"Back to two words, I see." I laughed at Mingi's comment. "Jongho's the guy who fixed everything. Keeps the place together. Literally."
"Hmm." I nodded, stunned.
"He's also one of the youngest crew members. But also the strongest, too."
"Impressive. Who's Yunho?"
"The captain. And he seems quite infatuated with you."
"Oh, come on. He has Estrella, doesn't he?" I shrugged. Mingi looked at me for a long moment, then smiled and shook his head.
