Rescue/Sacrifice Part 2

Colby's POV:

I was talking with Sam when suddenly his eyes widened and he quickly grabbed me by the shoulders and he turned us around so that he was shielding me with his body. However, before I could ask what he was doing, he was suddenly hit in the back and he was knocked out cold as he fell into my arms. "SAM!" I hear the gang shout in fear.

"SAM!" I screamed in panic as I felt my eyes tear up. I then tried my best to wake him up but to no avail. "What a fool sacrificing himself," Roxanna said. "When my real target was you Cole after what you did to my baby!" Roxanna replied with an enraged tone in her voice.

I then shielded Sam by turning my back to Roxanna just as she was ready to aim her magic toward us. "Roxanna!" a voice called out from the entrance of the cave. I then turned my head to see my mom and dad along with four guards coming our way. I then carried Sam bridal style with one hand while I held the triton with the other as I swam toward my parents.

"Mom! Dad!" I called as I gave my dad back his triton. "Cole what happened!" my mom asked me. With teary eyes, I told my mom how Sam sacrificed himself just to protect me. My dad then trapped Roxanna and Cassandra the same way how she trapped me. But instead, they were given silver cuffs and a shocking ball and chain. My dad then had the guards take them both to the whirlpool dungeons which were far, far away from Mermainia. As for Rubble, he too was imprisoned with Cassandra and Roxanna.

My dad then released my friends from Roxanna and Cassandra's bubbles. "Mom, Dad, please help me wake up Sam for I don't want to lose him" I begged as my eyes began to tear up again. "Don't worry dear for my mother taught me a healing spell that can heal any kind of illness and injury," my mom replied to me.

My mom then had me lay Sam in my arms as she began to chant the spell. Moments later, a golden glow appeared all around Sam as he was elevated into the air. After about a minute or so, Sam was gently laid back in my arms.

We were all looking at Sam hoping for a miracle when suddenly I felt a movement in my arms. Within seconds, Sam slowly fluttered his eyes open. "SAM!" The guys and I shouted with happiness in our voices. I then launched toward Sam engulfing him in a hug.

"Oh, Sam I thought I lost you!" I said as I held him in my arms. "Sorry for worrying you Colbs, but I did promise to protect you after all," he chuckled as we released ourselves from our hug. I then swam to my mom and hugged her tight. "Thanks, mom for saving him," I said. "Anything for true love dear," my mom replied as she released us from our hug.
