Cody Friday night
Once I got inside my house, my mum was waiting for me, leaning against the wall. She obviously knew now that i'm not straight, but she said she wouldn't tell my dad and she's not upset with me, so i'm not too worried about it.
"So, when do I properly get to meet him?" She said, half joking. I laughed and put my shoes up before looking back at her.
"I think he's coming over tomorrow?" It sounded more like a question, but I didn't entirely know either.
She nodded and walked upstairs to her and dad's room. I grabbed a glass of water and headed to my room. Gwen had called earlier, which I wasn't expecting. I went down to her contact and ringed her, hoping I wouldn't bother her.
"Hi, you called earlier?" I asked her confused.
"Oh, yeah. Did you make a move~?" She said, half jokingly. I laughed and felt my face go a little pink.
"Yeah, it went great too! My mum kinda found out though-" I got cut off by a loud laugh followed with a shouted "what?!" from the girl on the other end.
"No, hold on, how did your mum find out? Also, you're okay, right? Like she isn't pissed or anything?" Gwen always joked around, but at the end of the day cared for other people whether she showed it or not, which is sorta sweet.
"Yeah, she's fine with it. She actually wanted to "properly meet him" too. But anyways, while he was driving me back home I thought about what you said and once he parked I kissed him. That kind of lead to us sort of making out in his car? My mum came out and I guess she saw us before we could pretend nothing happened, so that was probably super awkward for him." Gwen didn't say anything for a few seconds, making me think she hung up.
"That's... a lot. Maybe a few of that wasn't needed, but other than that good job Cody. Like seriously, I thought you would pussy out or say you forgot, so good job." It made me happy that she thought I did a "good job". The old me, the creepy one, would be jumping up and down with excitement from hearing something like that from her.
"Thanks, I was actually surprised he didn't kick me out his car or something." We talked for another hour before she hung up to go to sleep, which I should probably do.
---- (Saturday)
The next morning I woke up to the sun shining through my windows, blinding me as I opened my eyes.
My mum had probably already left for work, and dad was apparently on a business trip.
I checked the time on my phone, 2:26 PM, I normally wake up somewhere around this time so i'm not too surprised. I checked what notification's I had, a bunch of texts, and a few unimportant things from Instagram.
Owen
Hey Cody! (8:14 AM)
Wanna hang out later? (8:16 AM)
Izzy had some plans with Eva i think and Noah said he was busy, so I thought you might wanna hang! (8:32 AM)
Its okay if not little buddy! (8:57 AM)
[1 image] Look at this delicious breakfast! (9:13 AM)I kinda felt bad that I never answered him, even though I was asleep and couldn't do anything about it. The next message I checked was Noah's, which I wasn't expecting him to even talk to me since he told me to "never text him again or he'll block me" after I made a joke about Duncan and him secretly dating a few days ago.
Noah
Owen won't stop blowing up my phone (8:36 AM)
Anyways i'm coming over for lunch, better know how to cook gaps (8:38 AM)
Why haven't you made some stupid comment yet, did you die? (8:54 AM)I was going to tell him how I just woke up, but I decided to go downstairs and get breakfast instead. My mum tried to teach me how to cook when I was twelve, but I wasn't paying any attention to what she said. So living off waffles or microwaveable food like leftovers from what dad would eat but just toss back into the fridge.
I walked downstairs to hear my mum giggling at something. I guess some people actually find some of the shows old people watch funny, but I was glad she was home either way, I wouldn't be lonely atleast.
I walked into the kitchen, not bothering to see what my mum was laughing at. I heard muffled talking from another voice, probably from the TV.
"Morning Codester," I heard a familiar voice say. I turned my head in confusion to look at where the voice came from.
"Noah? When did you get here?" I asked confused. I mean, it's a little weird to see your friend- actually what were we now? Maybe we were still just friends. Friends who made out last night in the latter's car.
"When you were having your beauty sleep," he walked closer to me and ruffled my hair before leaning on the counter.
"Were you talking to my mum?" Noah just smirked and looked away.
"Well I came over to see you, but she told me you were still asleep and she let me stay until you woke up. Also, please tell me you weren't considering eating that cold pizza in your hand for your "breakfast," because that is disgusting." I looked down at the food in my hand, then back at Noah and softly punched his arm.
"Don't insult my meal," I said while pretending to be upset. I continued to eat it without listening to whatever Noah was saying. I walked over to the couch where my mum was sewing a hole in a sweater and sat next to her. She smiled at me and continued what she was doing.
"Noah is really sweet, Cody," she said, not looking up from her main focus. I looked at her confused and gave an awkward and nervous smile.
"Uh, yeah. He's always mean to me though, he calls me names and hits me. He just insulted my cooking skills less than three minutes ago!" Noah was just smirking and every few minutes our knees or elbows would touch.
A few minutes later Noah sighed and got up. He dusted off his legs and smiled at what my mum said. God that smile, I wouldn't be surprised if he's turned straight guys gay.
"Okay Codemeister, come one." He held out one of his hands and gave a small smile to me. I looked at him confused, where the hell were we going?
"Fine, sue me for trying to be a thoughtful romantic guy. I'll go back to snarky comments," he said while taking his hand away and putting them up in defeat. My mum silently laughed and shook her head.
"No, no, where are we going?" I said quickly, earning another smirk from him.
"I need to walk my dog, thought you'd want to see her," he said casually. I smiled and stood up, standing beside him. I always wanted a dog, but my mum always said that our house was too trashy and she and dad would be too busy to help with it.
I waved bye to my mum and followed Noah to his car. This is the same spot I told him I liked him, well kissed him I guess; same thing, I think? Unless it was all a dream. I mean, he wasn't acting any different, apart from the comment about him "trying to be romantic," he was acting the same way he always did.
