I was brutally awakened by shaky hands. "Y/n baby" mom frantically shakes mom. "Mami what's wrong?"
"I thought you were dead" she hugged me. "I'm fine" I looked around my room "where is buttecup?"
"Who" she asked.
"That chameleon?" I waited for her to answer. " that thing a a newly found species, there are very few here on earth for as of now" I rolled my eyes.
"Well?" She stared blankly at me. "Where is it" I raised my voice a little. "Your dad took it he is in his office studying it"

It is pretty small but I thought it's cute, and it is from madgascar and not Columbia but I don't give a shit, this is my story and I do what i want😑.

"That's my little buddy" I whined. "Thanks for visiting?" Mom smiled before I left. I walked into my dads office. There were all sorts of dead animals on his walls.
I know more than anything dad wants to be a pilot but he wants to make my grandfather proud.
"Dad can I have my pet back?" He looked exited. "Y/n, hi, your mom thought you would never wake up, your chameleon is not sick it's just the way he is" he handed it to me.
"Hey, I get that I was hard on you and that's why you still hate me but,you know I'm doing this for our family, after all this ends you are free to do whatever you want" I nodded and took the chameleon.
"I love you hija" that's the first I've heard in a while.
"I-l love you too Pa" we hugged. "I have to go now that tonto is probably looking for me." I broke the hug.
"Bye" I went to see nana but she was already sleeping.
"Sweetie, your nana had a heart attack yesterday after you left" I heard a soft voice behind me. "What?" I looked back to see mami behind the door. "She ate too much sweets, she will be fine though, she just needs some rest"
My eyes started to leak the salty liquids that I desperately hoped would go away. " oh" mami said as I ran out the door with buttercup hanging on to dear life. "I'm sorry buddy" I walked slower until I reach the house. "Y/n we're we're you?" Mirabel grabbed my hand. "I...went to go on a walk" I said not making eye contact.
"My ma stopped by your house very late last night, is everything ok?" I wiped the rest of the tears.
"Yup, everything is great" she looked into my eyes. "I don't believe you, but I have to go" she pat my back and left.
I nodded and went into camilo's room. I started to sob in one of his smallest rooms. It was filled with pillows and blankets. It had some tiger footprints. He must be playing with Antonio in here.
I weakly smiled at the thought. I continued to sob until the door opened. "Y/n are you in here?" He opened the blaket door. "Hey what's wrong?" He sincerely wiped my tears. " nothing I'm fine" I faked smiled.
"NothinG? I'm not an idiot hermosa" he shapeshifted into me and made crying noises. I giggled a little then my tummy was crowded with an unknown feeling. He turned back into himself and sat next to me at looked at me.
"My nana had a heart attack yesterday" I said a bit calmer.
"Oh I'm so sorry" he hugged me and I felt my cheeks heat up. I ignored it and broke the hug. "Who is this little guy"
He looked at the happy little chameleon in my hand. "Buttercup"
He picked it up and smiled. "Nice to meet you buttercup" my heart melted and I started to feel an unknown feeling in my stomach.
"Thankyou for this chameleon" I gave him a quick peck on the cheek. His face had a soft tint of pink on in. I smiled and left the room
