The Calm Before The Storm

You have been friends with Gerard since the third grade. You both had been best friends since. You would always visit each other,trade cassette tapes and occasionally his younger brother Mikey would tag along. Gerard had always expressed how much he wanted to play guitar in a band in the earlier years of the friendship. You would always joke about how that wouldn't be possible because he could barley play "Sweet Home Alabama" on the guitar. He would always laugh it off but he knew deep down it was kinda true in a way.  *Time skip to 2001. You work as a writer for various catalogs  and Gerard works at Barnes & Noble with Mikey*

*Y/N'S POV* 

I woke up during the early hours of September 10th. I got out of bed and did my usual morning routine which involved at least two cups of coffee. I went  to feed Andy my cat. i then headed to my office to start some work since i don't have much to do.  *A few hours pass*  My house phone starts ringing breaking my train of thought. I quickly run to answer the phone. 

*Y/N picks up phone*

Y/N: Hello?

Gerard: Hey Y/N how are you today?

Y/N: Hey Gee i'm okay just a little tried . How about you?

Gerard: I guess i'm okay i'm just getting ready to go to work later. 

Y/N: Are you excited? i mean considering your trying to keep busy since your so excited to go to New York in a few days *slightly laughs*

Gerard: *laughs* Of course i am! I'm trying to keep myself busy so the days pass quick 

Y/N: *laughs* that's good Gee i'm really happy for you. 

Gerard: Thanks Y/N,Are you doing anything later?

Y/N: No,why?

Gerard: Well Mikey and I were planning on going somewhere for lunch and we were wondering if you would wanna come along?

Y/N:Oh okay yeah I can pick you both up whenever your lunch break starts. 

Gerard: Alright cool, lunch starts at 1. 

Y/N: Okay ill be there five minutes early waiting in the front. 

Gerard: Alright! Sounds like a plan see you later! 

Y/N: Alright see ya!

*They end the call*

*Third Person Pov*

Y/N continued to work while waiting for lunch  she hadn't really been able to focus because Andy wouldn't stop walking over computer while pressing key causing the words to be distorted. 

*Y/N POV*

"Andy quit it! i'm trying to get as much work done as i can before i have to leave!" *giggles while gently placing Andy on the floor* "i have to finish this gardening catalog before next month" *thought Y/N*

*Time skip to 1:00 Y/N calls Mikey*

Y/N: Hey Mikey i'm outside in the font i tried calling Gee but he wasn't answering. 

Mikey:Hey! Okay we'll be out in a minute Gerard is just finishing up stocking a shelf he left his phone in the break room. 

Y/N: oh okay see you then. 

*Y/N Ends Call*

*Time skip Everyone is in the car*
