A New Feeling

(Ember POV)

Once the Third Phase was done, we went outside to know what the Fourth Phase would be. They asked us to draw lots by numbers so we all took turns.

"#402" -Mr. Bean

"I guess that's me." -Ember

I walk up to the box and grabbed a circular thick blank paper. It was the same size as our number badge. 

"So, what do you think it is?" -Killua

"I don't know. Some kind of message? Is it really necessary for our next task?"

"Who knows, hopefully, its something more fun than the last few Phases" 

I shrugged. Once everyone got their paper they pulled off the sticker. I stood there staring at the number of my paper.

"The number on your paper is the tag you have to steal. To pass this phase, you must either steal that tag number or steal 3 other tags. Either one equals 1 point and your tag also equals 1. The goal is to have 2 points in total after seven days." -Mr. Bean

"So no one knows who's got who, and no one knows if we get each other..." -Ember

What if someone gets me? What if Killua gets me?

(Time skip to the island)

Killua, Gon, and I walked deeper into the forest searching for our targets.

"Hey, who did you guys get?" -Ember

Killua showed his number, and luckily, it wasn't mine.

"That's one of the triplets" -Ember

"Yeah I guess, should be a walk in the park"

I chuckled but looked back down. Gon was pretty silent also.

"You guys okay?" -Killua

"I got Hisoka." -Gon

"I got Gittarackur." -Ember

We stopped in silence for what felt like forever. Gon and I got the two hardest applicants in this exam. Gittaracker is a weird man. He's like a robot, but not, he's intelligent and strong, and he's friends with Hisoka. The pins on his face reminded me of something or someone, but I don't know who.

"I think it's best if we separate for now. That way we can find our targets easily." -Gon

"Good idea. You gonna be okay going by yourself Ember?" -Killua

I turned around and walked away while waving.

"I'll be fine Killua"

And then I turned my head and smiled.

"Don't underestimate my abilities."

(Time skip)

I wandered through the forest until I felt a presence near me. About 150 km away I hear footsteps running towards my path. Closer and closer as I slowed my pace into a clear, sunny spot. Once he was close enough to grab or attack me, I moved out of the way and appeared behind him. Well, more like teleported. ☀︎(Can teleport to any spot that's in her sight, but it has to be sunlit) I saw the person who attacked me was Bodoro.

"I see you noticed me. Now I don't like fighting children, so I will ask nicely for you to give me your tag."

I raised an eyebrow and scoffed.

"No. If you don't want to fight me then just take three other applicant's tags." -Ember

"Don't make this harder than it already is on me." -Bodoro

"Don't say I didn't warn you..." -Ember

He burst forward and he was in front of me in a second. Just then I teleported behind him, but this time I was closer to his back.

"So slow..." -Ember

And then I hit his sensitive spot and he passed out. I walk away and I suddenly come across Hisoka in the sunlight with butterflies around him. I found out that it was because he was bleeding. Just then Gittatracker appeared near Hisoka. I was confused because Gon was the one who had Hisoka, so why did he suddenly appear in front of Hisoka voluntarily? They were talking, indicating they were allies. He took out his pins and his face suddenly changed. I was shocked by who it was.

"Illumi Zoldyck"

It made more sense. Why he was so familiar, his alliance with Hisoka, his strange bloodlust, it all made so much more sense. I realized he was in the sun so I teleported behind Illumi and kicked him in the face. He rolled until he hit the tree. He got up and wiped the blood off his lip. His eyes still had that emptiness in them and that unexpressive face like mine. 

"Ah, Ember. I see you've learned to control your bloodlust"

"Terrible to see you too, Illumi"

"I see you and Killua are getting along well as always. Though, I'll be bringing him home after this is done."

"Don't you dare do anything to him, Illumi."

"I don't plan to, just talking to him would be great."

Like hell, he would talk to you.

"My, are you attacking me because I'm your target?" -Illumi

I stayed silent.

"You've gotten soft. That kick was good, but we both know you can do better."

I already know I can do better, but I don't want to lose control of my bloodlust. I don't have any support nearby to stop me from going on a rampage. I went invisible and hid my whole presence. It was assassin versus assassin. I charged toward him and he lifted his arm to grab me as he felt my presence, so I ducked below having him grab my cloak instead and kicked him in the no-no area. I then reappeared away from him. He stood there holding my cloak and then fell holding his area.

"Well?"

He couldn't talk and Hisoka just smirked at me and I had to refrain myself from actually kicking him.

"I'll be off then."

"Hm~? Without the tag? But he's right there~" -Hisoka

"Oh, this?"

I held up the tag.

"It's the reason why I'm leaving. Goodbye Illumi"

I then disappeared from their sight.

(Illumi POV)

"Did you see that Hisoka? She fought with hints of fear in her eyes."

"Mhm~. It was lovely. Is your crotch okay though? You look like you took quite a hit~"

I blinked as I still felt the pain from below. She was good I'll give her that. 

"Even with fear she was strong."

"Mhhh~ yes~ I would love to fight her someday again ~ It'd be such a sweet one~ see you soon little sun hair~"

(Ember POV)

I felt a shiver up my spine as I was walking away.

"Why did I just get the perverted chills all of a sudden...?"

I shook it off and kept walking.
