chapter fortynine ♡

   Soon Luo Mei and Yang Lian come back inside. They find Lu Yue and God Ming sitting in the living room. They go and sit down with them.
Lu Yue- What did you two talk about?
Luo Mei- I'll tell you later.
Lu Yue- Okay.
Luo Mei- (she puts her hand in Lu Yue's & looks up at Yang Lian) Sister, when are you plan on telling everyone about the relationship you and brother Ming have? I'm sure they'll be okay with it.
Yang Lian- I don't know. We haven't given it much thought.
Luo Mei- Oh.
God Ming- Lian, we can tell them now if you want.
Yang Lian- Okay.
God Ming- (he stands up & talks where everyone can hear) Yang Lian and I want to tell everyone something. Let's go.
   They all follow God Ming. Luo Mei walks up behind both Xiao Pang and Lu Yue.
Xiao Pang- (he looks back at her) Oh, right. Sister Mei, you can sit next to Lu Yue. I forgot.
Luo Mei- It's fine. I'll sit here.
   She goes to sit on Lu Yue's lap facing to the left and he holds onto her.
Luo Mei- Pang, I'm fine not sitting in a chair.
Xiao Pang- You're sitting on Lu Yue's lap.
Lu Yue- She's not heavy.
Yang Lian- Luo Mei?!
Luo Mei- What?
God Ming- Are you guys just going to talk or...
Lu SiCheng- Luo Mei, Xiao Pang, be quite.
Luo Mei- Hey. Now you're on Lu Yue's side.
Lu SiCheng- I'm not on anyone's side.
God Ming- (he puts his hand in Yang Lian's) Yang Lian and I are together.
Yang Lian- Thanks to YueMei.
Luo Mei- (she makes a heart with her hands to Yang Lian) I love you.

Old Cat- God Ming? Since Luo Mei comes along you get yourself a girlfriend.
Lu Yue- Hey. You say Luo Mei is his girlfriend.
Old Cat- I didn't mean that. He got together with her best friend.

   Soon later on, Xue Lina and Niu Chen arrive. Luo Mei and Yang Lian welcome them in.
Niu Chen- You never told me the reason we couldn't come yesterday.
Luo Mei- It was because someone-
Lu Yue- (he whispers in her ear) Don't you dare.
Luo Mei- Someone ordered spicy food-
Lu Yue- (he whispers in her ear again) Luo Mei, I told you. You want me to show you I'm sorry.
Luo Mei- (she says low to him) Yes. (she talks out to Xue Lina and Niu Chen) I was planning on taking us all out. You don't mind if God Ming comes?
Xue Lina- Not at all.
Niu Chen- Sister, when do I get to met Xiao Pang?
Xiao Rui- (he comes over & approaches Xue Lina) Hello. I'm the team's manager. Xiao Rui.
Xue Lina- Hello.
Luo Mei- (she pulls on Lu Yue's sleeve) Lu Yue.
Lu Yue- What is it?
Luo Mei- Look at them?
Lu Yue- Brother Rui and Xue Lina? They could be a good match.
Luo Mei- Uhmm... How about we just ordered in. I'll treat you to all to dinner. This way you can meet everyone.
Lu Yue- (he goes to whisper in her ear) Will you be my dessert?
Niu Chen- Okay.
Xue Lina- That sounds good.
   They all start to walk in the living room but God Ming stops Lu Yue and Luo Mei watches.
God Ming- Lu Yue, I want to talk to you.
Lu Yue- Why?
God Ming pulls him away to talk to him in private.
Lu Yue- What is it?
God Ming- You need to be more respectful of Luo Mei's wishes.
Lu Yue- What are you talking about? I am.
God Ming- Then what was all that whispering in her ear for?
Lu Yue- Ugh. I couldn't help it. Besides, I haven't felt her lips on mine since last night. I miss it. And has she told me not to?

He watches Luo Mei walk in front of God Ming.

Lu Yue- Mei Mei, I can show you now.

Lu Yue- (looks towards her) Don't forget it.

   They all walk to the living room. They talk with everyone and then hours later Luo Mei treats them to dinner. They get a private room. They're in the middle of eating and Luo Mei stands up.
Xue Lina- Mei, what's wrong?
Luo Mei- I need to use the restroom.
She walks out to the restroom.
Niu Chen- Lu Yue?
Lu Yue- Huh?
Niu Chen- Luo Mei seems upset. She's more closer to you, maybe you can make her feel better.
Yang Lian- Go.
God Ming- Yue, don't just sit there. We're all telling you to go to her. Go.
Lu Yue- Oh.
He stands up and walks off. He stops at the girls restroom.
Lu Yue- Luo Mei, are you alright?
Luo Mei- No. Did you follow me?
Lu Yue- No. Everyone was telling me to go to you.
Luo Mei- Oh.
Lu Yue- Can I come in?
Luo Mei- Yeah.
   He walks in and goes to hold her. She wraps her arms around his waist and holds on.
Luo Mei- I know you're here with me, but I miss you.
Lu Yue- You can tell them if you want to.
Luo Mei- What if...?
Lu Yue- (he looks at her) What if what?
Luo Mei- (she looks up at him) What if... I don't know. Maybe they wouldn't approve.
Lu Yue- Why not?
Luo Mei- Maybe they don't see us in that way.
Lu Yue- Hey. Luo Mei. Stop with the maybes. If you don't want to tell them now it's fine.
Luo Mei- (she goes to hold onto him & sets her head on his chest) I just miss you.
   He moves her arms and goes to pick her up by the legs and holds her thighs to him. She holds onto him.
Luo Mei- What are you doing?
Lu Yue- (he goes to set her on the counter top) We've done this before when we were keeping it from the team.
Luo Mei- I never wanted to keep it from them. (she puts her head down) I just... I just always felt no one would expect us together..
Lu Yue- (he lefts her chin & she looks at him) It's not like before. We don't have to keep this from them.
Luo Mei- I know.
Lu Yue- I want to go by what you want, so we don't have to tell them.
Luo Mei- You're the best.
Lu Yue- I know.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue.
Lu Yue- No crying over this, okay? You have me now.

Lu Yue- (he presses his forehead to hers) I love you more.
Luo Mei- What did they tell you when they told you to go to me?
Lu Yue- They saw that you looked upset. Niu Chen told me that you're more close to me, maybe I can make you feel better.
Luo Mei- They like our friendship.
Lu Yue- I'm sure Xue Lina and Niu Chen will be okay with us being together.
Luo Mei- A couple?
Lu Yue- Yes. I'm sure they would be happy about it.
Luo Mei- (she looks back at him) Why do you always speak like this?

She touches his lips.

He goes to kiss her but isn't able to. Yang Lian walks in.
Yang Lian- YueMei.
They both turn to look at her.
Lu Yue- Can I not kiss my girl?!
Yang Lian- I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt.
Luo Mei- Lian, what is it?
Yang Lian- Maybe it's best if you guys come back now.
Lu Yue- Fine. (he pulls away from Luo Mei & walks out)
Luo Mei- Lu Yue.
Yang Lian- Did I say something?
Luo Mei- You pissed him off.
Yang Lian- Did he get mad at me?
Luo Mei- No. He just didn't like that you interrupted us.
Yang Lian- How can you tell that without him telling you that?
Luo Mei- I can tell by his body language.
Yang Lian- Oh. I'll just leave then.
She leaves and Lu Yue walks back in.
Lu Yue- I'm sorry.
Luo Mei- No. You did nothing wrong.
Lu Yue- I miss you. It just pissed me off that I can't kiss you.
Luo Mei- Baby, come here.
He goes to her and presses his forehead to hers.
Luo Mei- There's no reason you can't. Kiss me?
He goes to kiss her but gets interrupted again before he can.
God Ming- YueMei.
Lu Yue- Ughh. I'm leaving. (he walks away)
Luo Mei- Lu Yue. (she jumps down off the counter)
God Ming- You guys should come back.
Luo Mei- Yue Yue already went. He's getting really frustrated.
God Ming- Why not tell Xue Lina and Niu Chen?
Lu Yue- Baby, I'm still here. God Ming. If she's not ready to, don't push it. I'm fine with her decision. If we're going back, let's just go.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue, you're okay.
Lu Yue- No.
   He walks off and they follow him. They head back and soon after a cab comes and takes Xue Lina and Niu Chen home. God Ming goes back to Yang Lian's place with her and YueMei head back to the base.
Lu Yue- Mei, you want us to play cupid again?
Luo Mei- That would be nice.
Lu Yue- Who first?
Luo Mei- What? You saw something between Niu Chen and Xiao Pang?
Lu Yue- Yeah.
Luo Mei- I don't know which one first.
Lu Yue- That's okay. We can do both.

   They get out of the cab and go inside the mansion. Once Lu Yue puts on his slippers he sees that Luo Mei is still taking off her shoes. So he picks up her slippers, goes to wrap his arms around her and picks her up in his arms.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue, what are you doing?
Lu Yue- Taking you upstairs.
Luo Mei- But...
Lu Yue- Don't worry about that.
   He starts to walk and carries her up the stairs to his room. He sits her down on the bed and then goes to kneel down at her to take off her shoes.
Luo Mei- You really had to be alone with me right when we walked in the door?
Lu Yue- Yes.
Luo Mei- You haven't kissed me all day. You didn't even kiss me on the ride back. It's even almost...
Lu Yue- (he goes in her face) Almost what?
Luo Mei- Time to go to sleep.
Lu Yue- No. You promised me something.
Luo Mei- Did I? Was it, (she holds on tight to the side of Lu Yue's shirt) I told you when we come back, you can kiss me everywhere?
Lu Yue- What? You're my dessert. Wait, is that what you meant-
Luo Mei- No.
Lu Yue- So you're not telling me do what I want to you?

   He goes straight to kiss her on the lips and they fall on the bed. The more he kisses her the more she giggles. He then pulls away and looks at her.
Lu Yue- I-
Luo Mei- Handsome.

Luo Mei- (she goes to stroke his face) Really?

He goes to pull up her dress.

   He gets up and goes to lock the door. Then he comes back to her and he feels that she has a big smile on her face.

Luo Mei- Handsome doesn't like that he didn't get to strip me?
