The road to nothing

3rd generation location
9:34 p.m. on April 25, 21xx
There is a man running on a road holding a lead pipe.

It was just raining, so the road was slippery.

This man stops for a moment to look around.
This man's name is Kam. He has black hair and blue eyes.

Kam looks around and notices his prey leaping from one road to the next.

His intended victim is the man who kidnapped his daughter.

Once he reached the man, all he could feel was rage.

Going in for a strike, it was blocked by a robot which was ready to fight Kam.

"So you came, after all, you pest. The boss wanted to take both you and her out."

The man stood at the edge of the unfinished overpass. The people with him are a half-oni girl and a robot.

This half oni was Kams's adoptive daughter.
"You are going to let her go and no one here is going to get hurt, ok?" Kam said, a frustrated expression on his face.

The moment Kam finished talking, the robot attacked him.

"Sorry," the man said, "but we can't let any mythical creature stay alive."

The robot kept on attacking and attacking without end, but Kam dodged it easily. It's movements were stiff and predictable.

Kam landed a strike on the robot with each dodge until Kam was able to get its weapon away from it.

The weapon was an energy sword that was attached to its arm.

Kam used that to cut the bot in half.

"Shame your little fuckbot didn't do a thing. Now give me back my daughter."

"How sad," the man said as he ignited an energy dagger and shoved it into the girl's leg. "I'll have to kill you myself. I am Lawrence, one of the bosses' four commanders, and I will strike you down."

Kam wanted to move, but his movements were stopped. He felt cold metal on his leg.

He turned, and the robot grabbed him, barely functioning, and wrapped a rope around Kam.

"But nothing is stopping me from having a bit of fun first." With that line, Lawrence dug a hand into the onis' eye socket, pulling it out. The oni was screaming in pain.

He pulled the knife out of the onis's leg.
"That scream is going to get annoying though." The oni attempted to bite Lawrence, but
instead she got a knife through her tongue, going directly through her chin.

Lawrence moved the knife a bit before yanking it out and cutting out the girl's last vocal cords.
Kam thought this was crazy, thought this
wasn't real, thought he was dreaming and he could do nothing.

He's trapped in place because of a stupid robot.
Lawrence didn't have enough fun as he put in a gauntlet and punched the girl in the gut.

Kam cried out for it to end like he'd tried when this first started, but like the first time, nothing came out of his lungs.

Lawrence had a sadistic grin on his face. He broke two of the girls' ribs. As this happens, Lawrence laughs and laughs and laughs as he tortures the girl as the rain picks up again.

He takes out a gun and shoots the girl once in the eye that's still there, then tosses her from the overpas into the river below. "Now it's time for you."

The man walks to kam with that same sadistic smile.

All Kam had free was an arm that he kept trying to rip the ropes with.

The energy sword wasn't an option because it was dropped when he was tied.

So Kam accepts death with a smile, knowing how doomed Lawrence is once it's done.
Yet Lawrence didn't kill him.

Lawrence looked at Kam and questioned, "Why did you even care so much about that fairy tale creature? Hm?"

"Why? WHY?!? She was my daughter. She helped me get out of my dark state of mind."

"Hm hm.. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe she was plotting to kill you?"

"She wasn't"

"Oh, I know," Lawrence says, forcing Kam to look at him.

Kam takes this moment to snatch Lawrence's gun in a panic. Lawrence steps back as Kam shoots the bot, marking the ropes disappear

and then

Himself

A bell could be heard after the shot.

A bell from no where

A
Bell
From
Nothing

Kam smiled and lost himself
And when he regained it,

Lawrence was nothing but a bloodied mess on the road to nothing.
