Laying on the mattress, Finn thinks he hears the phone ring, so he picks it up, hearing nothing but a crackling noise. He turned to Lucas, asleep and breathing through his mouth, throat still swollen but going down. He didn't know if he was crazy or maybe he could get help.

"Hello? Hello?" Finney asks, as the crackling stops completely and a voice behind him speaks

"How many damn times do I have to tell you? The phone doesn't work" The kidnapper sternly speaks, annoyed as he watches Finney from the doorway

Finney sets the phone back down with a click, "I'm hungry. I need food."

"How are your eyes?" The Grabber asks, ignoring the malnourished boy

"They hurt"

"Well, I can't bring you anything to eat. You'll have to wait."

"Is there someone upstairs who will see you bring me food?"

"Don't you worry about that" The Grabber speaks

"If you weren't gonna feed me, why'd you even come down here?"

"Just to look at you" The Grabber says, and after a pause repeats it as he closes the door, the lock clunking

Finney lays down once more, laying an arm over Lucas who had somehow slept all through the night so far, the kid could sleep anywhere but his own bed.

Later in the night, the phone rings again, louder as it wakes both Finney and Lucas up with a gasp.

Finney looks up at the phone for a moment as it continues to ring, he picks it up as static drones over the line, Lucas watches as he stands next to him, tired.

"Hello? Is somebody there?" Finney asks, tired and confused, "I need help." After another pause he tries speaking again, "Hello?"

"Finney"

Finn gasps and quickly hangs the phone up in fear, almost falling back as Lucas catches him, both boys quickly pacing away from the phone and falling to the floor, breathing heavy. Lucas completely shoved himself in the corner, terrified as he heard someone over the phone. Finney was in front of him, stopping his heavy breathing as the phone rings again.

Finney quickly stands up, taking a step back and then deciding to answer it again as he quickly walks to it, picking it up and setting it back down to make the ringing stop. But the phone just rings again. Finney looks back at Lucas, silently telling him to stand up and be his emotional support human.

Lucas stares at the phone before slowly standing up and quickly walking to Finney's side as he picks up the phone, putting it to his ear.

"Don't hang up."

"I won't. Who is this?"

"I don't remember my name."

"Why not?"
