Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021 would definitely go down as one of the most intense season deciders in the history of formula one.

With both Max and Lewis going in level on 369.5 points each it was almost as if the rest of the season didn't exist and whoever finished higher was going to be the winner.

And now qualifying had just ended with Max having put his Red Bull on pole position for the title decider tomorrow.

The best Lewis could do was second but the advantage he had was he would start on the medium tyres while Max was on the softs.

Katie was sat in the Mercedes hospitality building waiting on Lewis to finish the post qualifying debrief and she knew there was a possibility it would be longer than usual considering what tomorrow would bring.

She really hoped Lewis could do it. Win the 8th. It would put him as the most successful F1 driver in history having topped Michael Schumacher with 7.

But she also knew how hungry Max would be for his first ever world title and the first year he was actually in contention for it.

Tomorrow would definitely be both exciting and nerve racking for all involved.

Katie was sat drinking coffee watching the second F2 sprint race of the weekend. She placed her now empty cup down on the table in front of her.

Motorsport had been an integral part of her life growing up all stemming from her grandfather. He had formed Williams racing way back in 1977 just a year after his daughter Claire was born.

Katie found her grandfather inspiring just like many people in the world of motorsport did. He essentially built the team with his bare hands with no idea if they would even be successful or not.

But it turned out to be the best decision he had ever made and he had enjoyed every minute of it. Even after the team was sold, Frank still watched every race and the team carrying his name and legacy.

His death had truly shook the world of Formula One and brought great sadness to everyone who knew him and even those who didn't have the chance to.

Katie had been so lost in her own thoughts she didn't realise how much time had passed before the end of the F2 race appeared on the tv.

A few moments later a pair of hands made contact with the British girl's shoulders causing her to jump slightly in fright as she wasn't expecting the contact.

"Hey. You're still here?" Lewis asked looking down at her.

"Yeh. I was just watching the F2 race but guess that's over now." Katie explained nodding at the screen that showed Zhou Guanyu celebrating his win in what would be his second last F2 race before he made the move to F1 for 2022 and would be racing with Alfa Romeo alongside Lewis's current teammate, Valtteri.

"You want a ride back to the hotel?" The F1 driver wondered with a smile.

"Sure. Are you all done?" Katie questioned as she grabbed her bag and stood up.

"Yep all done." Lewis nodded in reply.

The pair left the Mercedes hospitality building and began the extremely short walk to the swipe gates.
