Kyungmin has been friends with Donghyun for quite some time now. Donghyun heard about a handsome boy in 2nd grade, and convinced him to become his friend. They were junior high schoolers now. Since then, they kinda just stuck.
Kyungmin was quiet and shy, yet charming. He liked to keep things to himself and his friend group, but he was so tall and handsome, so he was bound to become an eye candy to the school.
It didn't bother him. As long as they didn't interrupt him when he's doing something, that was fine by him. Of course, however, they didn't care.
Everyday, there would be at least 7 students coming up to him to flirt with him, or even straight up asking him on a date.
That's where Donghyun came in.
Since the two were longtime friends, they barely left each other's side and even had similar schedules. Donghyun had an intimidating aura that he could turn on and off, and he'd use it to scare people away. When he wasn't in the mood, he'd excuse themselves out of the situation, or sometimes even wordlessly drag Kyungmin away in annoyance.
A few months since Donghyun's been doing that, that's when Kyungmin realized that he fell for him. Oh, and he fell hard.
There was a bit of emotional turmoil whenever he thought of it, because Donghyun was his bestfriend. He didn't want to lose his bestfriend over some stupid feelings.
Eventually, he got over the emotional turmoil within a few weeks and everything went back to normal. Or so he thought.
Since then, Kyungmin had been feeling butterflies in his stomach whenever he thought of or saw his bestfriend. His face would turn bright red when meeting him, or whenever he'd tell him a compliment.
Kyungmin wasn't the best at giving hints, but he tried his best. He'd touch thighs with Donghyun on occasion, asking him to go on coffee dates, hell, even buying the both of them a matching necklace.
Now, Donghyun wasn't an idiot. He knew about his bestfriend's crush on him, and he found it cute, yet stupid. He loved Kyungmin, truly, but only as a friend. And it's obvious that the other's feelings won't be changing for him anytime soon.
Then, there enters Dawit. Unlike Kyungmin, Dawit was confident, positive. He was a member of the student council practically every sports club, so he was popular by default. Dawit was Donghyun's friend since the younger's freshman year.
Despite being a big and aggressive-looking guy, he was softhearted and a pushover.
Dawit would wink at students and give them smirks, yet he never actually committed to a relationship. It wasn't his thing.
Students around the school liked to get all touchy with him and feel his muscles. It made him uncomfortable, but he was afraid to do anything because that's just who he was. A pushover.
That's where Donghyun would notice Dawit's uncomfortable expressing and pull him away from them, saying some lame excuse like, "Sorry, we have a project to do together."
Dawit knew about his feelings long ago, and just like Kyungmin, it was obvious to Donghyun. From dedicating shots to him, to making sure that he's cheering for him during competitions, Dawit was a blunt guy.
Kyungmin and Dawit weren't close, only having six mutual friends. But it was obvious that they knew of each other's crushes on Donghyun. They didn't physically or verbally fight for him or anything, but they did fight for him with their eyes.
Every now and then, Dawit would be scanning and analyzing Kyungmin, and Kyungmin would be glaring straight into his soul like a doll. Also another reason why Donghyun found them stupid.
