"Oh. My. God!" Susannah squealed. "Our girls are going to be debs!"

"Wait, what?" Katherine asked confused.

Current:

Susannah almost jumps in excitement, "I can't believe you both are going to be debutantes. There's so much to do! I'm so excited! There's..."

Katherine interrupts the woman, "Hold on Suze, I never said I'd do it."

"Both yours and Belly's were in my room accepting the invitation." Susannah questioned, "I had assumed you had put it too?"

"No, I didn't. I don't know who wou-" Katherine started but was cut off by her mother.

"I did," Christine said walking into the room. "I accepted the invitation for you. You're doing it, Katherine." 

"Mom, I really don't want to," Katherine said. "I said that yesterday."

"Please do this for me," Christine pleaded. "For me and Susannah."

Katherine looked over at Conrad who knew how much she didn't want to do it but nodded at her walking over to put his glass away. "Con, tell my mom I'm not doing this."

"Uh, one sec Christine," Conrad said pulling Katherine to the side into the hallway.

"Wha-" Katherine started before being pulled away by Conrad. "Why'd you do that?"

"I think you should do it," Conrad said. "And before you say I said-"

Katherine cuts him off before he could finish, "But you said this thing was stupid. You agreed with me when I said I'm not doing this because it's stupid and not me."

Conrad sighed, "I know." Conrad ran a hand through his hair before grasping both of Katherine's hands in his. "But can you do this? Not for your mom, not for me, but for my mom? She would be ecstatic if you would. You know why Kat."

Kat sighed nodding her head knowing exactly what Conrad meant, "Fine. I'll do it. I'll do it for her. But if I can't find a date, you're going with me."

Conrad smiles, "Fine by me." Conrad hugs the girl before they go back into the kitchen.

"So?" Both Christine and Susannah ask at the same time.

Conrad and Katherine look at each other before Katherine responds, "I'll do it. But we're not going crazy."

"Yes! You won't regret it!" Susannah yelps with excitement hugging the girl. "Girls, we need to go shopping!"

"Like now?" Katherine asks.

"Well, basically," Christine says.

"Now, who's going to be these girls' escort to the ball?" Susannah asks.

All of the boys denied going in their own way making both Belly and Katherine laugh. "Jeez, boys stop fighting over us," Belly chuckles. "Besides, I'll find my own date."

"Same," Katherine says. "Plus, Con and I have a deal that if I don't find one, he's stuck being my date." 

"I'm gonna go for a swim," Conrad states to nobody in particular but Katherine nods her head at him smiling watching as he walks outside and jumps in the water then turns her head back. 

The moms laugh at Katherine's statement as Jeremiah finishes cooking up food and sets it in front of Belly and where Katherine is standing. "Thanks, Jere." Katherine smiles before sitting down and eating. 

"Well, hurry up girls. We have shopping to do." Susannah says excitedly.
