Katherine turned her head to look at the brown-haired boy. "What?!"

"I said," Conrad began, "I'm coming with you."

"I heard what you said," Katherine said flatly. "You're not coming with me."

"Why not," Conrad asked. "It's better for me to than anybody else."

Katherine groaned at the boy's statement while rubbing her hands down her face. "Why do you insist on coming with me? I need to go alone."

"To let you blame yourself for it and try to hunt down the driver by yourself? No, I'm not letting you do that, Kat, and you know that."

Katherine chuckled as she turned around to look at him. "You know me too well, don't you?" Katherine sat down next to Conrad on her bed.

"I don't know," Katherine sighed, laying back on the bed. "I just feel like it's my fault. I wasn't there. She called me. Maybe because she was too busy trying to call me, she didn't see the driver and got hit. I feel like if maybe I answered, she would've seen the car."

Conrad looks behind him at Katherine and lies down next to her. She wraps her arms around his stomach, and not too much later, he puts his arms around her, hugging her. "I don't know what to do, Conrad. Going by myself would give me time to think about it."

"But at the same time, you'll just keep thinking about how you think it's your fault and how you can't look at her," Conrad finishes her statement for her. "I'm right, aren't I?"

Katherine nods her head before looking up at the boy. "Why don't you let me come with you, okay?"

Katherine sighs, "Fine. You can come."

Conrad smiled slightly, knowing he got through to the girl a little. "When do you want to go? We can take my car."

"Tomorrow morning?" Katherine looked up at the boy, "I want to get back to Arizona as soon as possible."

"Then we'll leave tomorrow morning," Conrad says. "It'll be okay, Katherine. I'm here for you every step of the way."

Katherine smiles lightly and nods before letting go of Conrad and sitting up.

"Thank you," Katherine says with a slight smile. "I should probably finish packing then."

"Yeah," Conrad says as Katherine returns to gathering things around her room. "I'll let you get to that. I'll see you later."

Conrad kisses the girl on her head, then leaves her room and goes to his. The boy sighs and lays on his bed. What's he going to do now?

Author's Note: Yes, I know I'm finally posting again. I'm working on it don't worry. This is a filler chapter and the next chapter may be too until they get back to Arizona I'm not sure yet. But don't worry I'm going to be writing more again. But for those who have watched season 2, how do we feel about that ending?
