You quickly reverse the step you were about to take and instead, you tumble backwards and slam your back against the wall. You were so startled that you end up falling on your butt.
The flames clear and Todoroki is revealed, along with Denki and Deku at his sides. "Dude! I told you not to do it too close! You almost set her on fire!" The rest of the class walk over.
While Denki made a joke of the situation, you were caught up like a deer in headlights. The eye contact between you and Todoroki stayed consistent. "I- I'm sorry. Are you okay?" he asks, offering you his hand to help you up.
This reminded him of what happened in the library, when he used his quirk a little too close and had you stunned. His hand was meant to provide help, yet that was the last thing it was doing for you.
You back slide away from him until you felt that you were a safe distance to get up, although even then, you'd almost fallen again.
You were totally shaken. Todoroki looked just like Him. Him being... Touya. Or Dabi, as he preferred. Something about those eyes gave you chills, particularly the blue one. "I'm.. fine.. I'm fine. It's fine." You were almost.. afraid of breaking the eye contact with him. It showed. As you kept backing away, your body trembled, legs unsteady with every step. "Um.. Guys.."
Your focus flickered to the entire group, but then back to Todoroki after every two seconds. They all looked at you. This was abnormal, even for you.
"Are you sure you're okay, Y/n? You look pretty spooked." Kiri points out. You try to mask it. "Y-Yeah. I'm good." Todoroki still felt guilty over it. "I know this is the second time. I really didn't mean to—"
On behalf of your raging anxiety, you cut him off. "I'm sorry, guys, but I have to go." Every one of them look confused. "Like now now?" Sero questions. You nod a bunch and grab your things in your arms. "Yes, now now. Family emergency." They all spew out comments at once. "Don't we have to come with you, then?" Deku asks. You stop for a second to actually think. "You guys take my car, okay? I gotta get out of here." you tell them, tossing Denki the keys.
Your balance was so off that you could barely get your shoes on. "Wait, but how about you then? How are you gonna get home?" Denki asks. You stop again. "Okay then I'll take my car and come back for you in a few hours." He holds the keys away from you. "Well what's a few hours?"
You were getting frustrated trying not to let your emotions get the best of you.
"Kaminari, give me my keys! I don't have the time for this!" you snap at him. You take a deep breath. "I'm sorry. Just please. The keys? I'll be back at normal time and you guys can keep rehearsing what you know." He hesitantly gave in.
Watching you run out of the door, he changes his mind and runs after you. You were trying to get the keys into the ignition. As you finally did it, you catch a flash of blonde in your peripheral vision. Then suddenly, it was on your car's hood. Denki was looking you right in the face.
"Get off my car!" you yell and start blowing the horn. You were doing it so much that he had to cover his ears and the others had to come outside. "Denki! Off of the car!" Iida insists. Kami refuses. "I can't let her drive! Something is telling me not to!"
You drop your head onto the steering wheel. You were stressed enough and just wanted to get home to your dads. Iida gets Denki to get off the car. "We can just talk to her and get her to get out of the car. You could ruin the car like that." he warns just as he knocks on your window. You roll it down without lifting your head.
"Y/n, we don't think you should be driving if you're too upset right now." You sit up. "I'm fine. I can assure you—" You suddenly receive a spike of dizziness and your vision blurs. •You just had to prove them right, didn't you, body?• With a heavy sigh, you get out of the car and let Denki take the keys. "Fine. I can get home by foot." you say, walking the other way. Denki blocks you again. "Seriously, dude?" you say, looking unimpressed. He could see your body swaying. "Your house is too far away."
You groan. "Kaminari, you're in my way. I have a lot to deal with so please, just let me—" As you talked, he was watching your blinking slow. And then, you fall forwards. He catches you and sits you down on the curb next to him, holding you up. "Again? What's wrong with her? She got low iron or something?" Bakugou snorts, crossing his arms while he stares at you. Momo creates a hand fan and uses it on you. "We should call 911."
You were hunched over, struggling to breathe and keep your eyes open. "Aizawa..." you mutter. Momo and Iida look at each other and nod. Iida makes the call.
Soon after, Aizawa and Mic both arrive together. While your classmates explain the situation to Mic, Aizawa helps you walk to get settled in the car. "Dad.." you mutter as he lays you down in the backseat. "Shh.. It's okay, Y/n. We'll handle this, I promise." He shuts the car door and gets filled in.
"Thanks kids. We'll take care of Y/n. You guys just keep doing your rehearsals. And Kaminari—" He interrupts. "I know. No extra tutoring today." Aizawa nods. "Yes. And the car, keep it until tomorrow. If that's a problem, leave it in the school parking lot." He nods.
Hours later, you were asleep in your living room with your head on Aizawa's lap while he was reading. When you got home, you were awake but were still so upset about what was going on. You ended up crying yourself to sleep.
But now the question is, what happened during those phone calls?
