eddies death ~ angst

Steve, Nancy and robin were running back to Dustin and Eddie after almost defeating vecna. Steve soon heard dustins screams though the bight red lighening, so ran faster to the two while, robin and Nancy were following him from behind.

Out of breath they finally see dustin holding a body. It was Eddie's body. Steve stopped in his tracks as soon as he reached dustin. Steve was shocked and upset. He was starting to like the metal head." Dustin are you okay?" Steve asked panicking. Dustin just shook his head and cried some more.

Steve took Eddie's lifeless body from dustin and layed him down on the ground. As steve Hovered over the boy, Eddie started to cough up so blood and slowly open his eyes just enough to see Steve." Eddie come on we can get you to a hospital. You just need to hold on okay?" Steve stated to Eddie in a shakey voice." Steve i-i didn't run this time. Are you p-proud?" Eddie replied. Steve nodded his head as Eddie leaned in, took of his necklace from his neck, gave steve his necklace with one of him guitar picks on it.

"I love ya man." Eddie gave a weak smile to the other as Steve smiled back with tears in his eyes. "I love you too so please stay, Eddie please. We just need to get you to a hospital." Steve whispered back. Eddie wiped some tears rolling down from Steve's cheek.

As Eddie slowly started to close his eyes as Steve was shaking him." No, no, no please don't do this to me. Stay please Eddie. Stay. I love you too Eddie please stay." The brunette shouted shaking Eddie hoping that he will wake up. Steve quickly kissed Eddie ignoring everyone around him hoping that Eddie would return to him.

"Steve he's gone..." Robin remarked as he walked closer to Steve. He just shook his head in disbelief and whispered with a raspy voice." No we still have time we can save him!" Robin soon tapped Steve's shoulder." Look I'm sad too, but if we don't get out of here soon we will all die and Eddie would have died for nothing." Robin tried to tell Steve. Dustin and Nancy agreed.

As Nancy and robin started to get Steve and dustin up, dustin screamed," No we can still save him!" Dustin was having a breakdown. Losing someone who you saw as a father figure was heart breaking to him. Steve was trying to make It look like he wasn't on the verge of tears. But he can't hold them in forever.

2 days passed since Eddie's death
The byers, hopper and el were back. Steve and dustin were still sad but tried to not show it. Robin knew something was going on but Didn't want to mention it. Max was in the hospital. Nancy kept a gun in her bag at all times. People were evacuating hawkings. A lot had changed.

Jonathan noticed how upset Steve was and wasn't going to let that be un noticed." Hey steve?" Jonathan whispered while walking up to him." Hi Jonathan. I wanted to talk to you!" Steve replied smiling a bit." I wanted to say I'm sorry for the way i treated you. It wasn't right." Steve continued. without Warning, Jonathan started to hug Steve." It's okay i forgive you. Are you okay I've noticed you've been a little bit more upset than usual." Jonathan stated. Steve said nothing and hugged Jonathan a little tighter letting a tear roll down his eye." Wanna talk about it." Jonathan asked letting Steve go. Steve nodded and dragged the other inside his car so they were alone.

Finally, Steve managed to spill out how he finally found some one he loved and then they left without saying goodbye. He was referring to Eddie but didn't want to say his name just incase Jonathan reacted weirdly.

Over time, Steve and Jonathan started to bond more. Nancy was confused but proud of those two for finally getting along. Bit who knew what would happen next or when vecnas next attack will be. They just had to wait for the moment and prepare...
