“Our story has three parts: a beginning, a middle, and an end. And although this is how all stories unfold, I still can’t believe that ours didn’t go on forever”

Chapter 13-Arguments
Chelsea’s POV
Nick, being the idiot he is, chose that moment to drop his fork-completely ruining Harry and Al’s moment. They stared at us disorientated and fuzzy before pulling away from each other and staring around awkwardly. Harry made his way back towards his chair and I motioned for Al to sit down beside me.
Dinner was done in silence. Every now and then I would catch Al staring at Harry, a vulnerable expression on her face. After a while, the silence got too much to bear.
I cleared my throat noisily;
‘So Harry, how was the interview?’
He cleared his throat too before glancing at Al quickly and looking back at me.
‘I think it went well. Of course I won’t know that till I get accepted..but I didn’t mess up or anything so that’s good.’
Al looked around questioning and everybody ignored her-forcing her to ask Harry.
‘What interview?’
He looked at me surprised, then back at Aleinda.
‘Oh Chels didn’t tell you? I urm, interviewed for a job here. My boss back home suggested it to me. So I figured I might as well..’
Harry left his sentence hanging and gazed worriedly at Al, worrying his possible move here might upset her.
Al looked at him and once his words registered, a glimpse of hope and happiness glittered through her eyes and not even Harry could miss the longing in her voice when she said;
‘Really?’
I got up and walked to the kitchen, silently laughing. Victor, being my tail for the night, decided to follow me into the kitchen too.
‘Chels? Are you ok? What’s so funny?’
I grinned at him, continuing my silent laughter before replying.
‘I’m fine. I’m completely fine. It is just absolutely hilarious to watch those too. They’re both like little lost puppies around each other-just begging to be held. It’s unbelievable. I mean, who ever thought that Al-strong, stubborn, loud, opinionated Al would be the one to tame down the big bad brother?’
He smirked back at me.
‘I guess it is funny. At least you’ve seen them like this before. It’s my first time. It is absolutely freaky to see Harry-drug dealer, street fighter Harry all wide eyed begging for love. Honestly- I don’t think I’ll ever get over it.’
‘Yeah I guess. I never got used to it though. But even before they weren’t so vulnerable and...begging for love. They were just happy. None of this soppy “I need you back” crap.’
Vic was just about to reply when Nick walked in. He quietly took in our euphoric atmosphere before coming over to me and wrapping an arm possessively around me waist. Vic rolled his eyes at Nick’s behavior and couldn’t resist commenting.
‘You know you’re not vey good at marking your territory. I don’t think you made it too clear.’
Vic said in a sarcastic taunting voice. I looked disapprovingly at Vic who gave me the wide eyed “what did I do?!” look, before I softly calmed Nick down. After instructing them both to go back to the dining table I grabbed the desert from the fridge and made me way towards the table.
