"Are you ok?" Eddie aked.

"I'm ok," she said.

"I was worried about you. I wouldn't forgive myself if something happened to you."

"I know Eddie, but I couldn't let Jason get to you. He would have killed you."

Kate got off the ground and leaned up against the rock.

"Something else is bothering you. What is it?" he asked. Without saying any words, she grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer to her, her lips crashing into his. Eddie's hands found her face, deepening the kiss. He pulled back and just looked into her eyes as his hands stayed on her face.

"I love you Wallace," he whispered.

"I love you too Munson."

As night fell, the group stood on the edge of Lover's Lake where Kate had docked the boat earlier.

"The compass is going crazy," Dustin said. "The gate has to be in the lake." Nancy and Robin got in the boat.

"Where are you going?" Lucas asked.

"We're going to find the gate," Nancy said. Dustin started walking to the boat.

"I feel like I need to go. I started this," Eddie said, looking at Kate.

"Eddie, it's ok, I'll stay here with the kids," Kate replied. He mouthed I love you as he got into the boat.

"Oh no Henderson, this only holds about 3 people," Eddie said, as he got into the boat, stopping Dustin.

"It's better this way," Nancy started. "Stay here with Max and watch out for trouble."

"YOU watch out for trouble, it's my goddamn theory," Dustin said.

"Sorry Henderson," he replied, shrugging his shoulders.

Kate watched as they paddled away.

The boat stopped in the lake as Robin looked down at the compass that had started going crazy. She radioed back to Dustin on the shore. Steve started undressing as he went off on how they needed to check it out and how unless someone else wanted to prove they could beat the swim team co-captain or lifeguard, he was the person to go.

Eddie dumped the contents of a bag onto the bottom of the boat and wrapped the flashlight in the bag.

Meanwhile back on shore, Lucas had the binoculars looking at their friends in the lake. "Ugh, when did Steve get so hairy?"

"Right?" Dustin exclaimed. Max stole the binoculars from Lucas to stare at Steve.

"You guys are a mess," Kate said, standing next to them.

On the lake, Steve had found the gate and had swam back to the boat. "It's down there." It was a mere moment and he was pulled back under. Everyone in the boat and on shore began to panic. As Eddie, Robin and Nancy jumped in after Steve, Max, Dustin, Lucas and Kate were hiding from the cops who had just pulled up on shore.

"Shit," Dustin said as they ducked behind a log.

Steve, Nancy, Robin and Eddie were all now in the upside down. As Nancy, Robin and Eddie had arrived, they saw Steve getting attacked by something that looked like bats. They all went over to help him and get away as they ventured into the woods.

Dustin, Max and Lucas were all caught by the cops, but Kate managed to evade them. She knew she needed to get back to them and help them.
