You briefly spoke to Dustin and where he quickly filled you in on Robin and Nancy's visit with Creel as well as Max's run in with Vecna, you brought up your own problems with Jason and you all decided you should meet at Victor Creel's house to look for some clues and reconvene. You all figured Eddie could sneak in, it was a pretty bare part of town and there could be a chance Jason would come back with the cops and it would be better for you both to be out of the apartment if that happened.

It was rolling into midday as you made your way out of the apartment. Eddie insisted on wearing his Hellfire shirt, classic leather jacket and denim vest. He said something about if he's fighting monsters he's already wearing Harrington's boxers and he's not going to be caught dead in his shirt too.

You managed to get out of your apartment and into your car without running into anyone. Eddie was sitting shot gun with his seat put all the way back. The drive was a little tense from the impending feeling of doom as well as the slight awkwardness of the fact that Eddie's tongue was in your mouth less than 20 minutes ago. You didn't even really have a chance to process it yet but you were sure the blush on your cheeks was still there. You kept wanting to glance back at him to see if his face would give anything away on how he was feeling but you couldn't exactly look at Eddie without making it extremely obvious since he was so far back in his seat. His presence alone was distracting enough and was making it a little hard to focus on anything. The drive began with an uncomfortable silence, the quiet drone of the radio and hum of the engine was the only sounds filling your ears.

Beside you Eddie's mind was racing with thoughts of you as well, the only difference was he had free reign of staring and he was definitely taking advantage of it. He couldn't remember a time he was able to analyze someone so closely, he was in his own little world and slightly hypnotised by your mannerisms. The way you looked so focused, the position of your hands on the steering wheel, the way you played with your hair at every red light. He was caught up in staring at the little bit of hair that fell loosely from behind your ear. He caught himself when he was about to brush it back, his hand a few inches away from your face he quickly brought it back down before you noticed and he felt his face grow hot. He shook his head a little and brought his focus back to all the events that led him here and a bit of a more somber mood began to take root. The silence seemed to stretch on and he looked out the window watching the landscape go by.

His mind was wandering, a pit in his stomach was forming and growing bigger by the second. He was starting to feel impending guilt, he was worried about Vecna, his sheep, Max, especially you and even Harrington. Although he didn't blame himself for what had happened to Chrissy he blamed himself for what had happened between you and Jason. You had immediately put yourself in an uncomfortable position to hide him from Jason and although you breaking his nose was incredibly hot he couldn't help but feel you could have diffused the situation better had he not been there. It was because of this that he decided to make a rash decision.

You slowed the car down and put on your right blinker to head towards Woodgrove Drive, following Steve's quick directions he gave you to Creel's house. Heading left would bring you around Lovers Lake. Eddie's voice finally broke the silence "So uh, listen, I'm about to probably about to piss you off and I'm sorry in advance but there's already enough at risk I don't want to fuck things up anymore than I already have. I'm going to hide out at Reefer Rick's I'll take the walkie and if anything goes wrong I'll meet you guys at Skull Rock." Eddie rambled so quick you barely understood what he was saying, he grabbed the walkie and jumped out of your car as you stopped at the sign. "Eddie what the hell?" You yelled out before he closed your car door and ran across the street, heading in the direction of Lovers Lake. You quickly turned left, accidentally cutting someone off as you drove towards the direction of Eddie. The horn blaring from the aforementioned car ringing in your ears as you felt panic bubble up into your throat. What if they saw him? Damnit he was so impulsive. You couldn't see Eddie, he already dipped into to woods near the road and you pulled over for a second to collect your thoughts.

Should you chase him to Reefer Rick's or meet everyone else in case something went wrong at the Creel house. If you went to Rick's what were the chances you could change the metalheads mind to come back with you, also was it smart to drive there during the day? You had been pretty lucky so far with your fairly barren apartment building and thought that the run down street the Creel house resided on was a gamble but the better of two options. Reefer Rick's house was in a fairly populated area and going there in broad daylight would probably draw attention to your car. You remember Rick had mentioned before he only ever did deals "under the cover of darkness" because of the "nosey Nan's" that always had their eyes on the window. Eddie should be able to get back there a little easier on foot, he could hug the treeline up until he was almost at Rick's door. Not to mention with his stubbornness he was going their regardless and you didn't doubt he would throw on the dramatics about not getting back into your car regardless of the circumstances.

You groaned and dropped your head onto the steering wheel before the horn blared and startled you back up.

"I guess I'm going to meet the gang" you said to no one in particular, your heart panged and you let out a huff before grumbling "fuck this" and driving towards Reefer Rick's house. There was no harm in doing a quick little drive by to ensure he at least got in safe - besides you knew a few people who lived in the area and could easily use them as your cover.
